Brya's Love

"Just promise me one thing… Don't look back." —Brya

"What was Brya like?"

The assembled Ghosts—Targe, Peach, and Ophiuchus—ceased their gossip. They turned to Glint, who bobbed back a half-step.

"I never met her," Glint admitted.

"But you know what happened to her, right?" Peach asked. Glint nodded.

"She was…" Peach thought for a moment, searching for the word. "Cheerful."

Glint contracted his shell in confusion. "That's a little hard to imagine."

"It's true!" Peach chimed.

"You saying that makes it even harder to imagine," Glint replied, but Targe and Ophiuchus bobbed in affirmation.

"I mean, Eris was never cheerful," Peach continued. "But Brya could bring out a different side of her. It was impressive. I was impressed."

"She used to make up rhymes with Eris," Targe added.

"It was… endearing," Ophiuchus said.

"Huh," Glint mused. "It sounds like she was pretty special."

"She was," Targe said. They fell into a moment's silence until Peach spoke again.

"What she did in the Hellmouth… it wasn't for nothing. Eris made it out."

The assembled Ghosts nodded.

"I think I'd do the same, if Crow was in danger," Glint said softly. "If that was the only way to keep him safe. But Crow would be very sad. Very, very sad."

"Eris is 'very, very sad' too. It wasn't just losing the Light or her friends," Targe replied.

"We know our Guardians better than anyone," Ophiuchus said. "We see them at their lowest moments."

Targe glanced away, lost in thought.

Peach hummed. "I wonder what she'd think about Eris's plan?"

Her question hung in the air for a moment. Glint bobbed in consideration.

"I think she'd be proud," he said, and the others agreed.

Ladies and gents, we got ourselves a workhorse gun! GIVE IT UP FOR WORKHORSE GUN #204597!

Brya's Love joins the energy scout club as another 180 void boi, the same archetype and grape flavor as the beloved Doom of Chelchis. For all you non-raiders out there, this is the next best thing, and it definitely delivers in spades with the number of things you can do with it.

For most scouts, to be honest mag and barrel are often secondary, so as long as you push out the range and give it some recoil and stability compensations it should be smooth sailing. Perk-wise, we have the classic Rapid Hit/Explosive Payload to give you a wonderful damage dealing tool from the backlines. Perpetual Motion is always a benefit for mobile players and Shoot to Loot does interact with EP, but not to the same level as Kinetic Tremors, though it's still worth pairing. Frenzy, Tricorn and Adagio are all great damage picks (with Pugilist being the weakest here), and Keep Away and No Distractions are just solid for most lane-type PvPers. The most notable perk here is definitely Destabilizing Rounds, for its ability to make enemies volatile from pretty damned far away, which I'm pretty sure wasn't that easy to do before this gun. Combine that with the new perk Loose Change for some fun Outlaw-esque shenanigannery.

All in all, Brya's Love asks for little and offers a lot. If you still need a good void scout since Vouchsafe just WILL NOT drop from Blind Well or you can't do King's Fall, get yourself a Brya's and have a good fun purple time.

agree with most all of this except the “push out the range” part. at 74m base range you’d have to go out of your way to experience damage drop off at all in most strikes and raids, as is the case with most scouts, and any bullet magnetism increases from increasing range are marginal to the tune of at most a few pixels. i’d just lean into something like arrowhead+tac mag to improve the weaponfeel and mag size and handling mw or reload mw for increased swap/ads speed or throughput, respectively.

Destabilizing + Loose Change seems pretty interesting as a PvE ad slayer weapon. And visually it's a pretty cool hive addon for a classic D1 design which is thematically relevant to the story of the season.

All around, solid weapon.

Crafted with rapid hot/explosive payload and this thing holds up in master nightfalls. Weapons feels really good and stays pretty straight. I don’t have doom of chelchis so I can’t speak to that comparison, but really enjoy bryas love so far.

I'm sorry, but 18% put a full-auto mod on? There's a full-auto option in gameplay settings for a year now...

To be fair though isn't the full auto setting just allowing you told hold the trigger to keep shooting? It's not really changing the way it behaves right? So you could have it on and still tap fire to accomplish the same exact thing. It's what I do with Rapid Fire Scouts. I hold down essentially using it like a slow RPM Auto Rifle but then tap fire when I need precise shots.

I do get the idea, but to use a whole mod slot when you could just choose to tap fire seems like a waste of a mod you could be using for more beneficial stats.

immensely satisfying sounds make for a fun experience. the beautiful-looking scout offers a meaty, impactful sound flavored with "bony" sonic textures when clicking heads after crouching and standing up to trigger the neat origin perk.

as another reviewer said, there's always the classic rapid hit + explosive payload if one doesn't have any other alternatives.

but with strong offerings like doom of chelchis, the unique roll to craft here seems to be rapid hit + the new perk, precision enhancement. effectiveness needs testing though, given the range and stability stats. feels pretty good at mid-to-long-ish range based on the only trash roll i got so far.

To me this looks, feels and plays nicer than Doom of Chelchis or Vouchsafe for PVE. While Doom of Chelchis in my opinion has the better origin perk, this one is my favourite scout rifle by a long shot now!

Crafted it with arrowhead brake, tac mag (for increased reload, mag size and stability) and a range masterwork + keep away and explosive payload. You don't need more than 76 ADS range in my opinion - and you get more with keep away -, but the combos here are up to personal preference. Rapid hit is obviously also a classic choice.

Playing as a voidwalker in PvE with this is fantastic. I ended up going with enhanced destabilizing rounds and enhanced loose change. Why loose change? It just feels good and works well with destabilizing rounds. I can't speak enough about how fun add clear is with this gun. If you want to shoot something beefy that has adds around it, shoot the add first and now the major or boss is volatile and it does decently well. It's not so great with solo majors and bosses, but whatever. I got Leviathan's Breath for that :)

A lane pvp monster. Keep away/Adagio. Wins almost every duel long distance due to high stability and no recoil.
