This gun will likely be the Strand weapon of choice for anyone looking to run a Legendary, as your other options with Hatchling are: a Sniper, a 120 Hand Cannon, a 600rpm SMG and a MG, which may or may not work for you depending on your playstyle; and Quicksilver Storm with Catalyst/Final Warning, which while both very strong in their own right preclude you from using an Exotic in the energy or power slots. Perpetualis' high fire rate also synergises well with Thread of Generation, allowing it to double as a good source of Grenade energy even without Demolitionist.

As for perks, other than the obvious Hatchling in slot 4 you also have Demolitionist for non-Strand grenade enjoyers, Cascade Point for memes, and Target Lock if you like DPS-ing with an Auto Rifle.
For slot 3 perks, Keep Away is your only option for a straight reload buff and isn't too hard to proc, Elemental Capacitor is there if you prefer performance, and I am not aware of how strong Envious Assassin is but its basically a hybrid Auto-Loading/Overflow that requires kills with other weapons, so it seems pretty great.

As for PvP, I think the play would be Eye of the Storm for consistency or Hatchling to sicc minions on other enemies in slot 4. Slot 3 you have Killing Wind, the newly buffed Zen Moment, and Elemental Capacitor (which grants an unknown amount of AE for Strand users). I don't believe 600s are that good in PvP at the moment, but on paper this seems like a decent consistency option.

Also green bullets really make your eyes work if there directed towards you I would recomend counterbalance stock to get that recoil in control
and then the last thing your enemy sees is a bright green blinding flash it doesnt matter the subclass craft your god role and get going and this is only a reply because I do not want to give my review just yet I still have not crafted one.

Golden Tricorn > Hatchling, the interaction with Unraveling Rounds is just too good to pass, and Hatchling is kinda hard to execute when playing on harder content

Thing is a savage in PvE and PvP. I couldn't believe how well it performed in PvE, it almost felt like using an exotic with envious assassin and hatchling combo its nuts.

Banner of War titans! Have you ever said “gee I wish my build was somehow even more broken” to yourself? Might I possibly interest you in an unraveling rounds laser beam with 1.5x damage basically any time you so desire? Slap Zen Moment and Golden Tricorn on this baby and your primary slot will feel almost-not-inadequate compared to the rest of your build.

Seriously, ZM + GT synergizes so well with Strand Titan. I imagine Zen/Hatchling also works well for how easy Zen makes landing headshots. I’d recommend either roll to any class, but man it rounds out a One-Two punch energy shotty so well on Banner Titan with that infinite melee uptime.

Banner also procs the origin trait essentially always in group content, giving a pleasant boost to reload speed & handling. I think Woven from Into the Fray does too. Thing feels like a cheat code with all the QoL procs running.

It's alright not best but not worst in PvE I see most people going for hatchling which is fine if you're not doing end game content where hatchling do next to nothing personally I think be better off with golden tricorn or maybe even target lock simply because both those would work and do well in both PvE and pvp hatchling is new and literally only reason it's so popular bc the hatchlings only spawn from precision kills and if your in anything over hero it don't kill anything but gun is very accurate just not best range . Oh also for 3rd column it's either zen moment or keep away but zen moment is my choice

New buffs are making this thing scary as fuck in PvP. Perpetualis has always struggled in PvE as it has played second fiddle to the spectacular rufus' fury. Recently however, the tide has shifted a bit into the favor of the 600 RPM auto and this thing is seeing play once again. While I still believe that Rufus has this thing beat in terms of perk options, something can be said about this amazing strand auto that had the spotlight so rudely ripped away from it in season 20.

There are better options, but as a craftable weapon you can do a lot worse. An accessible, decently potent strand AR.

In PvE:
Column 1 lacks a consistent reload perk, which does knock the weapon down a peg, but column 2 has a fantastic set of options.

For column 1:
- Killing Wind would be my go-to, as range = more damage. 50 mobility is obviously great too.
- Keep Away if you're desperate for reload speed. Adaptive Autos have pretty good reload as it stands, so this would be preference.
- Envious Assassin if you use your special a lot, or are a sword user. Obviously useless if you don't swap weapons too often.

For column 2:
- Hatchling is great for strand warlocks and general add clear
- Demolitionist is obviously good for grenade-centric builds
- Golden Tricorne is fantastic for strand subclasses, which I assume you're playing if you specifically want a strand primary
- Target Lock is good when you really want ST on your pimary and aren't Strand

As for PvP, you can do better for sure. Not bad, but not great.

I'd add that the origin trait (Noble Deeds) at max stacks can help shore up the lack of reload perk. Anything that activates a fireteam buff (Eg. Woven mail on strand, overshields on Void, radiant for Solar or individual weapon traits, such as Vexcalibur's guarding overshield) works here.

Keep Away is 30 reload speed when active, that plus range and accuracy help for free makes it the best third column choice in my eyes.

solid reliable autorifle for strand. with rufus it has tough competition. obvious choices like keep away, hatchling, target lock, ambitious assassin, demo are all great choices. but with rufus having the same perks and better combo options to pair with... i wanted to find something rufus cant do.. ambitious assassin and cascade point was it. ive never really dabbled too much with cascade but this totally changed my mind. with lmgs being very viable currently in a lot of activities.. paired with a reliable special weapon procing cascade is mindlessly easy. made my special and heavy match typing and threw on a holster mod for more ease of use. not saying its an absolute game changer or a build. but its definitely fun and surprises with how well it works with surge mods and build crafting.

for pvp ive been relatively consistent with it. when autos get the love they need im sure we'll see a surge of autos come out to compete with the current oppressive smg meta. 600rpm are in a weird slot.. but being craftable the only other auto i have my eye on for pvp is firefright. but crafted a zen moment target lock perpetualis for pvp in hopes the balances make a impact to have a decent 600rpm primary slot auto in advance.

all in all this auto is definitely worth having as a reliable tool

I've tried, but I can't get it to work. Autos in general need a huge buff and aren't worth using compared to almost every archetype in the game. The perk pool is pretty subpar imo, but use it if you need a strand legendary primary and don't like the SMG or Round Robin

I must have hit the lottery. Corkscrew rifling (could be better but it's good nonetheless). Accurized rounds, Keep Away and then Hatchling with Range MW. This is the exact roll I would have crafted but probably would have taken Smallbore or Hammer forged rifling so I cannot complain. This thing is the perfect strand primary if you need Hatching. It's a lazer on PC. I main a warlock and will playing a threadling grenade build. I wish the SMG had a better 3rd slot perk because in my eyes it's either Perpetualis or the SMG with Hatching and I prefer SMGs as of late but 600 ARs are my go to when ARs are good. Pick up this roll up if you need a hatching primary for PvE. (I do not PvP anymore so no rating)

I managed to snag a god roll with Hatchling, Keep away, Accurized rounds, and Arrowhead Break. I also have a god roll for the SMG, but now that I got this perpetualis roll, I havent really touched my SMG. I've always preferred autorifles, and the 600 rpm class is my favorite by far. This pairs insanely well with my (dont hate me) also god rolled Circular Logic with my current Strand hunter build. Makes for an incredibly versatile kit when matched with the Vexcalibur for my close/mid range energy weapon and Circular Logic for heavy/long range. Can't wait to level up the crafted variant so I can play with more PVP builds :)

Having great success in 6v6 with a target lock & elemental capacitor setup. Of course not as good as the immortal, but much easier to acquire.
Definitely better options when it comes to crucible, but very fun to use. If you are looking for something new to try, give it a whirl.

PVE:
I have to say that this is one of my favorite auto rifles in the game atm. I've been using it for ad clearing, and I love the feel of it. My current one rolled with Zen and Hatchling, and it works like a charm for PVE.

PVP: I played a few rounds of the comp playlist, and I can't say I necessarily enjoy it in PVP. Granted, I do not usually play pvp, but it felt janky for me.

This is a fantastic craftable option for Strand builds wanting to make use of artifact mods and other synergies from using this specific element type. For many chasing the listed godroll, this weapon is by far outshined in PvE by Rufus's Fury from the Root of Nightmares raid which can roll with godly combinations of Demo/Pugalist/Reconstruction/Rewind Rounds + Target Lock/Hatchling/Frenzy/Paracausal Affinity/Adrenaline Junkie.

This does not mean Perpetualis does not have a unique and powerful place, however, as it has ONE unskippable perk that Rufus's Fury does not have; Golden Tricorn. GT is the real godroll to aim for crafting if you want something powerful and unique that only this weapon can bring to the table. That +50% damage increase on weapon + ability kill is SO EASY to do on strand, even in endgame content, making this possibly one of the best golden tricorn primaries in the game.

Keep Away/Hatchling combo is good enough for my needs. Where this weapon really shines is the synergy with strand subclasses and the season 20 artifact perks. Being an autorifle, it can always take care of overload. Origin Hones perk means it will always be overcharged in activities where that matters. Then you have the combination of "Untangler" to suspend targets when you blow up a tangle with a strand weapon and "Threaded Blast" which makes this explosion absolutely massive (think global reach warmind cells, except it CC's the entire damn room in addition to damage). Throw in "Allied Unraveling" and you pump its damage up even more. Its also high RPM so it has very good synergy with the fragments "Thread of Generation" and "Thread of Isolation".

All in all if you are playing a strand build and do not want to use your exotic on a primary weapon (Quicksilver Storm), this gun is pretty much perfect. If you aren't running a strand subclass it is a lot more lackluster, but for its niche it is simply best in class.

That's a great weapon, i'm currently trying to get a best stats perk roll first.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This list is more effective to try if you have access to create this weapon.

First Column: Arrowhead Brake
Second Column: Accurized Rounds
Third Column: Elemental Capacitor (Enhaced version) - THAT'S the perk that change it all, don't use the not Enhaced version
Fourth Column: Eye of the Storm (Enhaced version)

For Masterwork (or adaptative frame): Range
Mod: Icarus Grip

With that combinantion you'll have the best Stats Based Perpetualis, but have in mind that this not meins the best in all activities, but can probably work with most strand-grapple builds.

If possible, i'll return to get a most precise score for this roll.

Gonna be honest — so long as the Immortal is still usable, there’s not much of a reason to use Target Lock here, and in a dedicated PvE setup you have much better options to go for. For all other intents though, this will likely be a fan-favorite Strand primary for a long time. Easy to use, great perk selection, Mountain Dew bullets, what’s not to like?

Keep Away is by and far the best perk in the third column for PvE, although you can’t go wrong with Zen Moment or Killing Wind anywhere either. But increased range, reload, and accuracy just for not being near enemies? Perfect.

Fourth column is stacked with good options for both PvE and PvP, but personally? I think Golden Tricorn is the perk to go for here. None of the other options are explicitly bad, but with Strand having access to so many abilities and the power to chain them so fluidly, Golden Tricorn is going to be at that x2 (which is 50% more damage btw!!) almost all the time when you need it to be.

Target Lock or Eye of the Storm are options to consider for PvP, but “Immortal at home” isn’t going to be shattering any ceilings anytime soon. I’d honestly stick to Keep Away/Golden Tricorn as a hybrid roll for both modes. It’s not defining any metas, but there’s not much else that can fill this roll’s spot in Season of Defiance, and it’s hard to top such easy-to-use consistency on an already good-feeling gun.

How can you give it 0 stars for PvE if you havent even got the PvE roll, people don't realize how badly that makes the weapon look for no reason. Try it on both before leaving a review or wait until you get the pve roll... so annoying lol. this gun is an ez 5 in pve
