薩拉丁領主坐在一張小桌子前面,端詳著全息影像的內容:卡巴爾的軍隊在星系的各處都有活動跡象。他擠在房間裡面的小角落,原本寬敞的空間,因為過去這幾年以來不斷堆積古老的武器、獎盃、過期的戰術報告和沾滿灰塵的裝備模組而變得十分擁擠。他跟其他老年人一樣,告訴自己這些陳年老物某一天說不定能夠派上用場,但他內心深處其實知道事實的真相,他只不過是念舊罷了。

耳邊傳來有人敲門的聲音,吸引到了他的注意力。他伸手去摸身上的手槍,並透過孔洞偷看外面的情況。原來是愛蔻拉,對方手上拿著一個棕褐色的紙袋。鋼鐵領主悶哼一聲,並開門迎接。

「我想說你應該會餓。」愛蔻拉把那個袋子舉起來。「泰伊還好嗎?」

薩拉丁領主招呼對方進門。「還是老樣子。」

術士緩緩飄進房間裡面,並動手整理環境,挪出空間擺放食物。雖然她什麼也沒說,但薩拉丁能夠感覺到她對於自己的居住環境頗有意見。她的目光停留在長滿黴菌的房間角落。她聞到從他鎧甲毛襯裡面散發出來的惡臭,臉色大變。她的手指頭沿著塵土裡面的痕跡游移著。

她把一個裝滿美味麵條的竹碗遞給對方。「薩拉丁領主,你過得還好嗎?」她低下頭,表達誠摯的關切。

「等到凱亞蒂爾滾出我們的太陽系之後,就會好很多了。」這名精通槍械軍火的鋼鐵領主動作突然變得愚鈍起來,居然連碗筷都不大會用。精緻的餐具在他那雙歷經滄桑的碩大手掌裡不斷顫抖。

「薩瓦拉好像很有信心,認為你一定可以逼迫對方撤兵。」愛蔻拉拿著碗,並優雅地靠在桌面上,這邊沒有椅子可以給她坐。

「薩瓦拉過度樂觀,這一點比凱亞蒂爾的大軍還要危險。」他說道並皺起眉頭。「等到和平談判破裂之後,我就會採取強硬手段迫使對方撤出我們的太陽系。這向來都是我們的作風。」薩拉丁皺著眉頭放下筷子,直接把碗湊到嘴巴前面,大口吸食著麵條。

「當然。那之後呢?等這件事情結束之後,你打算做什麼?」愛蔻拉以溫和的目光定睛看著對方。「去休個假嗎?」

薩拉丁比手勢指向那個戰術全息影像。「等我收拾掉卡巴爾之後,還有下一樁慘案得處理。威寇斯、邪魔族、傀儡軍團、墮落者,誰知道他們在打什麼鬼主意。總是有麻煩事會出現。」他眼神犀利地看著愛蔻拉。「妳上次休假又是什麼時候?」

愛蔻拉抬起一邊的眉毛。「好吧,你贏了。但是你真的已經好長一段時間沒有休息了。」

「確實如此。」薩拉丁不經意用有點過分的語氣說道。他停頓片刻,然後才又繼續接著說:「我在戰場上感覺比較自在快活。戰鬥能夠讓我保持神清氣爽。讓我感覺自己還活著。一直待在高塔這裡,整天看著無聊的報告、聽政客講一些亂七八糟的話,才是真正讓我感到倦怠的元兇。」

「那如果我們戰勝的話,你會怎麼做?」愛蔻拉繼續追問。「如果我們明天就能消滅黯黑艦隊,再也不需要打仗了呢?到時候你會怎麼做?」

薩拉丁嘲諷著術士的無稽之談。「如果真的有那麼一天……我應該會去休假吧。」

這兩名戰士默默盯著彼此看了好一會兒,接著雙方都鬆了一口氣並開懷大笑。

快活的空氣讓鋼鐵領主露出短暫的笑容。「別擔心,愛蔻拉。我沒事的。」

術士的眉毛向上拱起,她還顧著這個房間裡混亂的景象。

薩拉丁默默看著她,接著緩緩發出一聲長嘆。「如果妳會因此感覺好一點的話。」他咕噥道。「我會去找幾個熱情滿滿的新人過來幫忙打掃乾淨。」

「真的嗎?那就太謝謝你了。」愛蔻拉眉頭深鎖,露出愁容。「薩瓦拉最近忙得焦頭爛額,在缺少獵人先鋒的帶領下,我擔心我們沒辦法做足準備。你知道有什麼樣的威脅在等待著我們。我們現在迫切需要鋼鐵領主的幫忙。」

薩拉丁的視線緩緩回到那個戰術全息影像上。「我知道,年輕人。當人們有需要的時候,我一直都在。」

Just got the attrition orbs+kinetic tremors roll, and it works just as advertised. It does a bit less DPS than you would expect, but oh boy, does it make orbs of power CONSTANTLY

Just got it myself. It's the gun version of "So I heard you like orbs, here's some orbs" Way more fun than I thought it would be.

So does KT really help in triggering more Orb gen? Chasing this roll and haven't gotten it yet but I do have one on my Parabellum. It generates roughly twice as much as using a weapon without it and I find I generate at least 1 orb per mag.

Does KT work in doubling or possibly tripling the orb generation especially in a pack of mobs?

The king is back! With some PVE options this time around. Lightweight frame actually feels good in this iteration of the weapon.

PVP
Dynamic sway + iron reach, for crazy range
+ kill clip, a classic
+ tap the trigger, solid option
+ frenzy, better than target lock now
+ kinetic tremors, a sleeper roll - very forgiving if you're not accurate
Under over + kill clip, melts oversheilds and rift warlocks
Moving target with same options, depends on the playstyle and preference

PVE
Attrition orbs + kinetic tremors - ***EDIT*** this is the best kinetic primary in the game and its not even close. Shame I can't edit the pve rating tho

I still wouldn't use Frenzy in pvp. There are potentially too many opportunities for its deactivation condition to kick in, even if a user manages to consistently survive many consecutive duels & group fights. Remember, Frenzy tapers off when the user hasn't shot a target or been shot at for five seconds straight. That's quite short even in pvp, where TTK can be a split second. Plus, it only activates after twelve seconds of being in combat, so therein lies the source of its problem in pvp.

Multimach CCX is a very formidable SMG in the PVP sandbox. Sporting 15 zoom and range boosting perks and trait, this gun is surprisingly effective at longer ranges. As for the perks, there are quite a few good combinations for both sandboxes but it mainly shines in PVP.

PVP:
1st + 2nd column - Anything that boosts range or stability.
3rd column - Moving Target / Dynamic Sway Reduction.
4th Column - Tap The Trigger / Kill Clip / Iron Reach.
5th column (Trait) - Field Tested

PVP performance is exceptional, seems to have all the bells and whistles for most play styles. I personally went for Moving Target and Tap The Trigger as I can get the most value out of this combo but DSR is great too. Iron Reach is also there if you are feeling confident, or can make up the stability elsewhere.

Definitely a top 3 PvP smg. Most people overlook its true god roll of under-over+kill clip. With the amount of overshields in the meta right now, an extra 20% damage to overshields from under-over makes a huge difference in winning a gunfight. Paired with kill clip, this monster can do 34 damage per headshot if you have kill clip and under-over activated together. You would be surprise how often they proc together. Don’t believe me? In your next game, count how many overshielded guardians you come across.

Got my PVE roll but that took awhile indeed (when you count the last season).
Attrition Orbs + KT is the play. While I had small bore (eh). tac mag (okay) and a reload masterwork.

While the range is pretty bad for PvP (and I obviously won't use such a roll), the reload speed and small stability bonuses makes mag dumping for KT and attrition orbs to procmore enjoyable.
Just that you literally have to work in the 12 to 17 meter range for best results.

In PVP, this SMG can hit out to 20 meters with the right roll. Do what you will.

Ever wanted a god roll PvE Multimach, even though its perk pool heavily focuses PvP? Well boy do I have news for you.

Thanks to the baffling saga of "Weightgate" Bungie is handing out the following roll, free of charge, to everyone (Offer Duration unknown, subject to change):
Polygonal Rifling, Tactical Mag, Attrition Orbs, Kinetic Tremors, Reload Masterwork, and its enhanceable.

That right there is pretty much the PvE god roll. Do you want to generate orbs out the wazoo? Get this gun. Want to make even more orbs? Enhance this gun and slap synergy on it. Slap the gun, it can fit so many orbs of power in it. Slap the gun, it can fit 37 bullets in it. Slap the gun. I guess if you track down random rolls its pretty great in PvP? I don't use SMGs in PvP much. Slap Banshees table. He gives you this gun. Slap the enemies with Kinetic Shockwaves. No one is safe from the Slappening.

I had a copy around its reintroduction in Wish, but never used it, and focused one around the end of Year 6 or during Episode Echoes. After about four to six months of use, I really like the Attrition Orbs + Frenzy Roll. Kinetic Tremors is super great, but reload and handling bumps are lost if paired with AO, and SMGs with bumped up handling/reload are just things of beauty. Feels like slicing through butter with a hot knife: so smooth & "silky."

PvP - several combos work well, and I've been using Moving Target with TTT, bumped up range and handling through the barrel/mag/mod slot & MW, and it feels like a laser.

Multimach doesn't quite feel best-in-slot for its weapon class, idk, hence the 4/5 ratings.

Edit 8 days later:
Iron Gaze + Iron Reach, a combo that cancels out both constituent perks' range penalties/boosts, but makes stability take a big hit, needs a buff to both stats to be viable in the Crucible. Thus the safest combos for the other weapon parts would be as follows:
-> Smallbore + Accurized Rounds + Stability MW
-> Smallbore + Steady Rounds + Range MW (note that Steady makes range take a -5 hit)
-> Hammer-forged Rifling + Flared Magwell / Tac Mag + Stability MW
-> Polygonal Rifling + Flared / Tac + Range MW
+ whatever mod addresses shortcomings, dependent on above.
See the issue? The requisite bump in range, as is required for the pvp paradigm, but stability drawbacks from Iron Reach need to be addressed. The Field-Tested origin trait also help with range. The base stability of Multimach doesn't feel the best tbw -- at least its deterministic recoil is not noticeable and base recoil direction is excellent. Even then, I feel like this combo's innate +20 targeting assist doesn't really make it a game-changer.

Hence my 4/5 score remains, with two perk combos tried in pvp, both being workable but not necessarily my favourite.

I actually wanted to revise my PvE score to 5/5, but I can't. Let's be honest though, I've been using several Yarovits the most since last season, and my Immortal rolls are still my favourite for the kinetic slot. Those are 5/5 pve weapons unequivocally for me. In other slots the Ikelos v3 and Subjunctive are my favourite PvE (though I repurposed Ikelos for PvP to stand over the shoulders of my guilty pleasure, Out of Bounds, which I used to get through my return to Trials as a Titan, two years ago, lol).

SMG’s are in a weird spot post final shape. The removal of the spec mods definitely hurt them a little making damage perks like frenzy, desperate measures, and one for all that more important. Kinetic tremors is a niche perk on Multimach that’s really only great for stunning champions when smg’s are on the artifact. I personally think frenzy is the better day to day perk to pair with the only third column perk worth using: attrition orbs. Since kinetic tremors does not make the orb from AA proc any faster. Field tested is an always solid origin trait and definitely the play over skulking wolf in pve. Make sure to get a magazine perk that doesn’t increase your mag size.

For PvP Multimach has two solid origin traits, a good scope, and decent perks. Rangefinder/dynamic sway reduction and kinetic tremors/target lock allow you to compete fairly well outside of the range band of most SMG’s.

Enhanced Iron Gaze + Enhanced Iron Reach gives you 20 Aim Assist in exchange for 3 Range and 23 Stability. You can't even get that much AA with an Adept Targeting mod on Submission. Lets you treat this SMG like a primary shotgun; it's very difficult to miss at close range. Kinetic Tremors is also effective in PvP due to this weapon's RPM, but don't treat it like a TTK-boosting perk. Kinetic Tremors takes 14 bullets to proc; if you're a decent shot then most players will be dead before it can trigger. Instead, use Kinetic Tremors to effectively duel beyond your normal range, as its DPS can compensate for your damage falloff. I don't think that I need to call attention to anything else on this gun; everything is very effective here.

First roll I got was a Rangefinder + Frenzy, luckily the only perk I really wanted was Frenzy. It feels great once you get it going. Obviously Rangefinder isn't ideal, but Frenzy is really what matters here for me. Other than that, very classic weapon, good model, good sound, good sight. Solid choice.

I don’t see a lot of people talking about Target Lock + Attrition Orbs. It actively works together as you shoot enemies making a ton of orbs and putting out good ad clear. It also melts majors.

Apart from being imo the best perk on pve, kinetic tremors is really good on pvp too, it you look at d2 foundry it may look bad because it doesn't improve the optimal ttk but in a realistic scenario its really useful, at 14 shots (12 is the optimal) it immediately does the equivalent of an extra crit or two bodyshots, and then explodes two other times (which may kill the guy who barely got to kill you). It also synergizes extremely well with whirling maelstrom, the tremors explosions detonate the tangle making 1 v 2s much more winnable. If you use the spider eyes exotic with thread of transmutation you get a tangle on almost every kill that then automatically explodes

just did the math using d2foundry damage values, hitting seven bodyshots (7*10.53) and seven crits (7*20.25) kinetic tremors deals 20 damage, doing 235 dmg in 14 shots (i dont remember what's the max health rn, i think it's around 230?). this means it has a .093 ttk with 50% headshot accuracy

I think you might have gotten that ttk wrong. 0.093 TTK is frankly not possible lol. Even if you meant 0.93 that's somehow a longer TTK than the base weapon without anything (0.73).
