Massively underrated in PVP, it has jumped into the meta currently. The TTK is long but it's so stable that you can get kills from sniper range with the no falloff second burst. It's average in PVE though. Not really good at any one thing.

Unsure about PVP , but in Season 16 with Volatile Flow, this thing is a new monster. I'm sure the raid exotic will be a void pulse, until we get it, GLance is on top of weapons alike in PVE!

Oddly terrifying that you're completely right about that: the raid exotic being a void pulse.

BEHOLD; Currently one of two exotic energy pulse rifles in the ENTIRE GAME (both are Void by the way). If you don't raid, it's the only exotic energy pulse rifle.

Great PVE ad-clear especially with reworked Void 3.0. Pair with Elemental Armaments and bountiful wells x2 and you're making 3 void wells spawn every 4th or 5th enemy.
It hits hard in PVP too; if you get use to the 2-burst recoil pattern you can 2-tap pretty regularly up to about 25m with the new Solar 3.0 Radiant buff. I would recommend it as a close/mid-range battler.

While it's good... Bungie please give us more exotic energy pulse rifles.

My go-to pulse in any situation. Very solid in PVE with ad clearing. In Crucible, there are hardly any other pulse rifles that have the range of Graviton and the knock back. 2 to 3 precision hits and the enemy and possible surrounding enemies are toast

Hail to the king! This thing has been one of my Favorites since the release of Destiny 2 and this season makes this gun an absolute beast! Running this with Palmyra-B and Thoughtless lets you comfortably give up your Exotic slot and lets you enjoy the full wrath of this gun. Volatile and this thing were made for each other. Never had so much fun clearing ads than with this! Haven't used it in PvP too much, but it still feels pretty solid. Definitely not as good as it's glory days, but man is it still fun. Also, hands down the best sounding gun in the game!

This review was written as of Season 18, Season of Plunder.

Unfathomably underrated. Functions as more of a Scout Rifle. Devastatingly synergistic with Volatile Rounds.

Forever in the shadow of Outbreak Perfected, one should not neglect the power of Graviton Lance, as ad clear is top tier for a primary Exotic. The Lance has a tendency to fling detonated targets away from the direction of fire, keep this in mind while engaging groups of ads, as striking the foremost enemy will lead to more consistent chained detonations. This is significantly less of an issue when enemies are within confined spaces, as the detonations chain very aggressively. Loses some of its shine when it comes to DPS, despite the wallop it packs. Very serviceable within the Crucible with its high damage and accuracy, but user precision is paramount. The catalyst was recently changed and now provides both Turnabout and Vorpal Weapon, in addition to the previous statistical bonuses to Range and Aim Assistance - quite the buff, particularly against rival Guardians who are channeling their Light!

Once upon a time, this could be earned as a quest reward during the Red War. Easily one of the better Exotics introduced in Destiny 2, and one that has stood the test of time.

If you're interested in a pulse rifle that acts as a scout rifle, this is the gun for you. The no fall-off on the second round makes this thing have insane range. For PvE, it also is pretty good, as the Cosmology perk kind of acts like a better version of Dragonfly, just watch out because the explosion can also damage you. There are better pulse rifles, but with how this one acts I would call this more of a scout rife than anything.

the best gun to clear ads really in a strike i did 170 kills in 13 minutes and in PvP if u can manage the recoil there is no fall-off dmg from the burst that means u can 4 tap a guardian!!!

In PVE this thing is a monster. You can see a bunch of ads just disappear right in front of you. If you get a kill in front of a spawning area, it chains for a while and with Masterwork, it can get a bit of orbs. I really recommend this gun for PVE Content. It might drop off later due to competition, but it is a very fun weapon to use. For PVP, its an okay choice. It's time to kill is awkward and it is decent at doing damage. You really won't see Cosmology Proc'ing in PVP, so its perk is whatever. I see this as a PVE Weapon imo.

This review was written as of Season 21, Season of the Deep.

This may be considered a follow-up to Ostro ostrO's review, as that is my old account.

TLDR: Stuff Lorentz Driver into Revision Zero. You now have Graviton Lance.

PvE performance is unchanged and Graviton Lance remains a steadfast option when a specialized Exotic is not mandated.

PvP performance has drastically changed as Graviton Lance now stands at the forefront of the meta; every dog has it's day and Graviton's has finally come. The burst delay was reduced by 20% to put Graviton Lance in line with Revision Zero when the Häkke Heavy Rounds are selected. The damage of the burst was also redistributed, greatly increasing the damage of the first round while reducing the damage of the second round. The combination of these changes has created an hyper-lethal Pulse Rifle that has the power to peek shoot (albeit still not as well as a Hand Cannon) due to the expedited nature of the burst. The Void detonations are unchanged, but were already fatal to begin with and will aggressively track to nearby targets. The additional Range and Aim Assistance from the catalyst is really the cherry on top, working overtime to account for any user error.

Look, this thing has been my favorite Exotic since the Red War so I am elated to see Graviton get the love it deserves, but it is probably over-tuned at this juncture.

KA-CHOINK/10 would fling again.

This was one of the first exotics I got after I started playing Destiny 2 in Forsaken. Being a pulse rifle main for a long time, I've always had a soft spot for it, even when it wasn't meta. But with Void 3.0, this thing is absolutely bonkers. Combine it with volatile rounds and this thing will clear adds like nobody's business. While it doesn't always *feel* like it's doing as much as, say, Sunshot or Riskrunner, the stats and easy clears I see time and time again after using it don't lie.

It's also surprisingly viable in PvP, particularly Gambit, where it functions as a jack of all trades gun. You can clear add packs to gather motes quickly, defend yourself against invaders when you're out of heavy ammo, and DPS blockers as you close in to use your kinetic special (Wastelander M5 in my case) - all at the same time. Pair it with a good power weapon like Palmyra-B or Falling Guillotine and you've got a great all-around setup for running Void in both PvP and PvE.

Is it the most meta choice for an exotic slot? Not always. But is it surprisingly fun and effective, especially with Void 3.0? Heck yes. The fact that I'm still using it after 4 years of playing this game proves that easily.

Unbelievably strong in PVP...possibly too strong. It's a primary Cloudstrike. The fire rate buff gave it the buff it desperately needed, however, now the secondary perks of Graviton now seem out of control. +15 aim assist makes it comically hard to miss, and then we have the explosions. The cartwheel deaths Graviton causes are funny until someone flies into you 5 meters away and then explodes...one-shotting you. And it consistently does this. The initial detonation seems to have some tracks, not just the seekers.
It also has great hip fire for some reason.

In PvE, it feels okay? I guess. But it's hard to recommend this when there are other guns like Conditional Finality, Leviathan's Breath, and Wavesplitter. Not that it's bad, but there are more fun options. Volatile rounds fill the gap for fun big explosions for me with the convenience of a legendary weapon.

This is my favorite Exotic in the franchise and I lament that it is no longer a quest reward. Hopefully Xûr will be selling it again soon for those that missed out on it. Completely underrated across the board.

Great in PvE, I use this in my master NF builds because of the infinite range. Great in PvE on long-range maps as well. The ornaments are all also spectacular, and the catalyst is very noticeable in PvP. One of my favorite guns overall.

Incredible gun in PvE. The fact it causes void explosions, which further create smaller tracking particles, is incredible. Paired with the "Void splash kills can create warmind cells" and "Global Reach" mods, it can also generated the incredibly OP warmind cells, albeit somewhat inconsistently.

Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience in Gambit, my PvP activity of choice. Other teammates often scooped up my kills, stopping the explosions from being effective.

Void 3.0 has turned this into a long range ad clearing monster, and my go to exotic weapon when using Nez's Sin. Also incredible sound design and a sleek looking model to boot.

Next season, this thing is going to become a certified weapon of mass destruction. Not only is Bungie giving this thing Vorpal as a perk, but also TURNABOUT on top of that. That is just madness! GL is about to become a meta primary exotic in all content that has Void shields.

Absolute beast for PvE, clears a room fast and plenty of punch to get through Elites / Mini bosses. Will still be amazing when reverted Rpm back to 300 instead of 324.
Recking in PvP right now, maybe a bit too good at 324 rpm. Might change when reverting back to 300

With the release of void 3.0 this thing has become an absolute beast. Volatile rounds pair naturally with cosmology, and you can wipe out groups of ads in seconds. The high-damage second shot gives you respectable damage on beefier targets, but I'd focus on clearing the red bars around the boss/champion and let them bathe in void 'splosions. Kicks fairly hard but predictably, becomes easy to account for once you've messed with it a bit. Looks great, and has some of the best sound effects of any exotic.

an odd hybrid of a scout and pulse, and it feels like it has the advantages/disadvantages of both. add clear monster in pve, solid, underused option in pvp. understandably so as there aren't that many lanes where this thing can really shine, but once you find them, it's pretty hard to beat graviton. overall, I give it an 8.5/10, solid, repsectable pick, can do well in endgame activities, but overshadowed by other, stronger picks
