Grenade Ability usage refills 50% of your Magazine (rounded up) from reserves and changes the weapon's element to match your Grenade Ability until stowed.

Magazine Refill cannot be triggered again without stowing the weapon first.

Kinetic weapons lose their Passive Damage Bonus against non-Boss PVE Combatants (10% on Primary, 15% on Special).

Transcendence Grenades count as the element of your equipped Grenade Ability.

Most perks that replace your Grenade Ability with a custom throwable (such as Gunpowder Gamble or The Rock ) do not trigger the perk.

Underrated perk that is currently an absolute must have with the Mantle of Battle Harmony. Highly recommend trying for it, unfortunately though as I’m typing this not many guns have it anymore because sunsetting.

Like Rdnuge said this is great for match game. Also as of season 14 this works with stasis, and seeing as how we are supposed to get legendary stasis weapons next season, we can expect enemies using stasis shields, making it even more beneficial to have.

I got it on my fatebringer and it makes it feel just like d1 along with the fact it makes strikes with burns or even master nightfalls so much easier when there are shields that only match your subclass

Very good and underrated in nightfalls and especially lost sectors. With match game active osmosis can make your loadout very flexible as you now do not have to worry about the energy type of your energy weapon as much and can even spec it for the burn. In solo lost sectors it is even more valuable as you do not have 3 other players to cover all of your bases.

What it DOES, it does well. I got a Horror Story with Osi and a trash second perk... the thing allows me MUCH needed versatility with my loadouts. Fair enough - if you always have nerdy friends to play with, you don't really need this, but still as an auto for barriers it's hard to pass up. It's nice for example when you want to use a special of another element for shields or whatever, but you'd still like a gun with your elemental type to help spawn wells. I don't know I struggle to find good loadouts for some of the harder activities and this thing on an auto makes that happen for me.

Borderline useless perk that was already niche before, but totally knocked out of viability following Lightfall's shield changes (Match Game no longer exists). Outside of really, really, really, *uselessly* niche or specific builds or situations, this perk is a dead spot on your weapon's traits. The Final Shape making it easier than ever to have multiple - up to *all 5* - elements in a single loadout only further buried it. It either needs to be changed entirely or have a secondary effect added to justify its existence. Make it so a weapon with Osmosis passively *always* copies the element of your equipped grenade, maybe?

All of the positive reviews written for it before Lightfall need to be changed.

Osmosis on a special kinetic has some pretty great synergy with Arc's Spark of Beacons fragment.

Description DOES NOT MENTION that osmosis has a timer. Roughly 20 seconds. This is a huge downer for me, and has forced me away from osmosis. REALLY WISH I had this info before getting my godroll rapid hit/osmosis Servant Leader. I slogged through 80 matches of Gambit for an incorrect lightgg description. Don't make my mistake, guardian.

Not sure what you're referring to with "osmosis has a timer. Roughly 20 seconds." I just used a Servant Leader with Subsistence/Osmosis for a fair bit of time and it never lost it's elemental affinity after throwing a grenade, until I swapped to another weapon.

its a bad perk, especially with perks like incandescent or voltshot, this perk offers very little utility for anything other then extremely niche builds,

if match game is an issue there's plenty of options to deal with shields, things like arbalest Hardlight or borealis are great pics, not to mention with perks like over under or adaptive munitions which can pretty easily deal with unmatched shields,

You'd be surprised at how great this perk is.
You can use your subclass element on a kinetic for one shield type if the activity calls for two different types.
Heck, it also helps allowing your kinetic weapon to spawn elemental wells without sacrificing your favourite Energy and Power weapons.
It's worth a second look. Trust.

Also, not everyone uses Arbalest. Some of us enjoy using other exotics in GMs.
Even then, I would rather use Borialis.
