Ok, so this is my first time writing a review, so bear with me. the big feature of this weapon is the new perk Destabilizing Rounds, which causes nearby enemies to become volatile after a final blow. I've been running this with Well Rounded, which gives a stacking bonus of weapon buffs when using your grenade or hitting an enemy with a powered melee. Now if you combine that with your grapple ability on Strand, which counts as a grenade and a melee, and you will have this buff constantly, and it helps you close the distance for Destabilizing Rounds. I really wanna get the new hunter helmet which gives you damage resist when you grapple. overall this is a fun weapon for pre if you enjoy getting into the thick of combat.

I pulled this roll out of the vault after this review and it totally slaps. Can confirm that you will almost always have the x2 buff active while using grapple melee. Throw on Volatile Flow from the seasonal along with Heavy Handed and Firepower on your gloves. Grapple in for a melee kill, giving you x2 well rounded and two orbs to give you volatile rounds along with destabilizing rounds. Everything within 6.5 is just constantly exploding. Throw on thread of generation aspect and you’ll be doing so much group damage that you will have your next grapple up in seconds if it’s a big mob. Bonus points if you pair this with Cyrtarachne’s Facade to tack on 10 seconds of woven mail on that initial grapple.

After trying OP’s suggestion, this is by far the best roll IMO. Even holds up on Legend Avalon.

Its a shotgun with the new perk Destabilising Rounds. Which causes kills to spread Volatile to nearby enemies. Enemies in range of your shotgun. Need I say more?
You could run Trench Barrel or 1-2 Punch I suppose, with Lead From Gold or Grave Robber being the play for column 3.

Too bad this isn't craftable, for some reason. Maybe in the future?

Might just be one of the best Rapid fire Shottys in a long time. Lead from Gold + Destabilizing Rounds with this this an amazing combo.

This is a really fun PvE shotgun, lead from gold and destabilizing rounds is great for spamming into crowds, and it has the tried and true combo of grave robber / trench barrel. Pair that with void weapon surge and volatile rounds and it does some pretty hefty damage. I think my top roll I am looking for is envious assassin for the overflow and trench barrel.

Why would you want volatile rounds artifact perk if you already have destabilizing rounds on the weapon?

mainly due to even more volatile procs. enabling more easy access to void fragments/hunter gyrfalcons stuff. volatile proc on shot would make spreading it faster as it does damage itself thus enabling the spread from the destabilizing rounds to happen easier and faster. this shotgun was my go to for my day one root clear. rarely ran out of ammo, and the volatile flow allowed me so much ease of use.

Volatile rounds break barriers, destabilizing rounds doesn't, also volatile rounds procs on the first enemy in the chain and doesn't require enemies to be around the primary target

Nice shotgun. First one I've used in quite a while with volatile builds on each class.

Does anyone know if full-choke would pair best for 1-2 punch? I know it's not used much anytmore, but I figured it would help hit all pellets to proc it

Fantastic shotgun for void titan, been running it with Destabilizing Rounds and No Backup Plan. Unkillable and nukes adds.

Great energy shotgun if you are running a melee build. Grave robber and one-two punch have great synergy and the origin trait also helps the shotgun out a little bit. If you are using this for a melee build, you should go for barrel shroud for higher handling. If you can get handling MW, it's an absolute masterpiece, but you can live without that 10 handling.

First and foremost, this is a fully automatic shotgun. The frame is not very popular nor has it really been any good. The last time a rapid fire shotgun was good, it was back when Trench Barrel was stupidly OP. This thing's saving grace is rolling Lead from Gold + Destabilizing Rounds, a very strong setup for double special in PvE. My only issue with this weapon is that the range is very lackluster and you run out of ammo as quickly as you get it.

I think that if you're going to run void double special, get a repulsor brace weapon. Volatile Flow makes getting Volatile unbelievably easy. Whether or not this gun feels any better once we have less easy access to Volatile is unclear.

Check out The Hero's Burden from Iron Banner this season-- it can also run Destabilizing Rounds.

Basso is probably the first rapid fire shotgun I have genuinely liked. It's a punchy little thing and does relatively decent damage for its ammo, as with Tac Mag I have 8 to shoot and have 16 to reload (total count of ammo is 24, which is good), though a single special brick only gives 7.

It's surprisingly easy to get lost in a haze while shooting it though, at least for me, so Adagio is ironically a fantastic perk. It slows it down and lets me adjust still. Aside from that, Lead From Gold works wonders with the Heavy Ammo Seeker mods we have now too, and it reloads at a fairly quick pace for what one might expect. May not be a stat monster or huge damage out the gate, but it's fantastic at Majors and ads, and its styling when ADS/shooting is simple enough overall to not be a visual distraction. I really like it so far.
