TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

As a High Impact Kinetic scout, this thing has natural competition in the Last Wish High Impact Kinetic Scout Transfiguration - a contest Imperative is guaranteed to lose. Consider, however - Transfiguration is a Raid weapon. It being better is all well and good, but if you're a player who doesn't Raid too often or at all? You probably don't have the pattern. This, on the other hand, is available to anyone who plays Season of the Wish and is significantly easier to get the pattern for. Plus some people are just going to prefer the Sol Divisive aesthetic to the Last Wish Awoken one and thats entirely valid.
For PvE, you have access to Rapid Hit, Subsistence, Demolitionist, Keep Away, and Triple Tap. Rapid Hit is likely your best bet - this gun has a naturally low Stability and Reload that greatly benefits from Rapid Hit, but I won't judge you if you opt for another option. Column 4 packs the ever incredible Kinetic Tremors, Explosive Payload, and Adrenaline Junkie. Kinetic Tremors is the natural play, requiring 4 hits when enhanced.
For PvP... Its alright I guess? Keep Away and Rapid Hit in 3, Opening Shot and Explosive Payload in 4, its not bad by any means. But it certainly wouldn't beat Transfiguration in this category.
Overall Imperatives reprise is a very solid glow up, and its a good weapon. But it will always lose to Transfiguration in a straight fight. Given their respective sources, that makes sense - so if you can't get the latter, by all means adopt the former into your loadout.
