TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks

It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.

Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.

TIP: Popularity Ranks

The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

Removing Autoloading Holster was a mistake, I’ll be sticking to my old one!

So let's get this out of the way: they removed auto-loading holster. IMO, that + disorientating grenades are the big thing that made it meta. However, there is one semi-redeeming quality that could make it semi-viable to some; the addition of stats for all, repulse break, and the field-tested origin perk. This combination turns it into a stat monster, nearly maxing out most of the stats. This does mix up the playstyle to a "fire till you're empty" kinda vibe, but you would be crazy to not want auto-loading. If you had one specific roll to go-for, I'd go for:
---
GOD ROLL ---> Volatile Launch | Disorientation Grenades | Stats for All | Repulser Brace/Disruption Break
---
As for PVP, removing auto-loading makes it easily overpowered by most grenade launchers. A spike grenade + moving target + harmony could do work, but why use this over literally any other special weapon that can confirm a kill without the extra effort. +1 for toxicity w/ disorientating.

While it is disappointing to see the loss of Auto-Loading Holster, it is far more disappointing to see the lack of alternative desirable damage or utility perks. Without perks such as Vorpal Weapon or Frenzy, or even the perks on the previous Truthteller such as Demolitionist or Quickdraw, your options are limited. MAYBE you could make Enlightened Action or Stats for All work. And MAYBE you could make Disruption Break work, but that's a stretch. If you're REALLY hard up for a Void GL with Disorienting Grenades and Auto-Loading Holster, wait for Spire of the Watcher to be the Dungeon for the week and grind out a roll of Wilderflight. Truthteller is simply not worth the trouble.

The og disorienting + autoloading + disruption is gone, but also it doesnt have anything desirable, no envious, or recon, or something to replace it, just 4 manual reload perks and moving target is just silly.
I would skip this one, but if you are looking for something like the old roll, "Wilderflight" from spire of the watcher dungeon has disorienting + auto + disruption/vorpal, its void too.

"Truthteller of the Episode Echoes, what is your wisdom?"
"Repulsor Brace without a way to apply Void debuffs is kinda mid"
"Oh, thats a good wisdom."

...Yeah, I'm not feeling this one. They removed Autoloading, heavily damaging the whole "Blinding Nade weapon swap" style most blinding GLs like to exercise. Enlightened Action on a GL sounds weird... and it is weird. The nature of GLs, particularly one-shot ones, means building and keeping stacks is very tricky. You'd be better off with Stats for All, as its more forgiving, lasts longer, and only requires 3 targets be damaged (Enlightened Action requires 8 FREAKING STACKS just to match Stats for Alls reload and Handling buff). Feeding Frenzy is hard to justify for the same reason (except 2 outright kills rather than mere damage), and Moving Targets presence confuses me (does ADS Aim Assist even work on Special GLs???). Repulsor Brace is your best bet on the other side, unless you'd like to try your hand at doing damage with a regular Lightweight special GL. Disruption Break is here if you're into shieldbreak damage for some reason (Anti-Barrier Grenade Launcher when?).

Honestly, the fact all the perks are relatively evenly popular should tell you all to know. Its a world drop weapon without the one niche that made it stand out originally. The only ways it stands out are in the wrong ways, to Tell you the Truth. Just get Pardon Our Dust, Lingering Dread, Militias Birthright, Empty Vessel, Wild Style, or Wilderflight, they all have Blinding- sorry, DISORIENTING Grenades and much better rolls. Heck, Wilderflight is the same element, fires TWO whole grenades, and gets Repulsor Brace in column 3.

...Oh, and uh, don't bother using this in PvP. You can do so much better.

"My expectations for you were already low, but HOLY F**K."

I already hated this thing years ago because of how unforgiving the shots felt even compared to most blinding nades. Now that you removed Auto-Loading AND gave it a really awful perk pool synergy with decent at best perks by themselves, even with this version being enhanceable, there's just genuinely no point using this.

You want blinding nades? Stick with Wild Style (Adept) or anything in the Kinetic Slot.

Also, I think we can all agree that it is common sense not to use special ammo blinding nade launchers in PvP due to its unforgiving shot nature.
