I managed to get 2 great rolls of this fusion: compulsive reloader with resevoir burst and firmly planted with high impact reserves.

The first roll is amazing for pve and it might even be the best reservoir burst fusion rifle there is imo. Compulsive reloader and the foundry perk synergize amazingly well with reservoir burst by giving you a ton of reload speed so you can keep reproccing reservoir burst. Its like having feeding frenzy up all the time without needing the kills, no other fusion rifle has such godlike synergy with reservoir burst.

The second roll is bonkers in pvp. The foundry perk works for the top half of the mag while HIR works for the bottom half, so the fusion is always boosted regardless of how many shots you have in the mag. Firmly planted is really good for tightening the bolts and with omolon fluid dynamics active this thing is a laser beam. Omolon fluid dynamics is basically the inverse of under pressure as it grants up to 20 stability for the top half of the mag. When testing the range I could consistently get 22m kills on my 83 range 64 stab roll so this thing has the potential to dethrone main ingredient as the top dog pvp fusion.

I also managed to get myself a Snorri with Liquid Coils, Compulsive Reloader and Reservoir Burst. I also happen to have a Glacioclasm with Slideshot + RB, so I did some damage testing:
Light Lvl 1558
Snorri: 10 shots in ~21s Total damage 566k, ~27k DPS
Snorri (2x reloader + Ophidians): 10 shots in ~16s Total damage 566k, ~35k DPS
Glacio: 9 Shots in ~14s Total damage 580k, ~42k DPS
Why 9 vs 10 shots? Snorri has 16 reserves, Glacio 15. So u get 1 more shot with Snorri at full magazine size.
Glacioclasm wins anyways though. More total dmg and more DPS. I am also terrible at using Slideshot, so i could probably have fired 9 shots from Glacio a bit faster.

Realistically you arent using reservoir burst for DPS, all you really care about is getting the red bars dead to proc explosions to kill other red bars, and maybe a light major as well. So it would be moreso which fires faster and reloads faster, and given slideshot requires sprinting and sliding, it might not always be the best option in some scenarios, especially if you need aerial mobility.

dunno why you're using reservoir burst fusions for dps when its meant for add clear like most of the time. glacio with res slide or snorri with compulsive res will never be better than a cartesian with vorpal or other rapid fire fusions simply due to archetype

Damn I never knew glacioclasm was that good at dps. Does your glacio have accelerated coils by any chance? Accelerated coils and liquid coils respectively increase and decrease dps by 5% but I guess that's not enough to explain the difference. Glacio is probably better after all then, at the cost of being a bit harder to use and obtain than snorri.

I got an actually stupid roll on this weapon of Heating Up + Successful Warm-up, Liquid Coils (LC), and Corkscrew Rifling (CR) and its AMAZING. On kill, the you're getting the charge time of a Rapid-Fire Frame on a Precision Frame and Heating Up is keeping your recoil completely vertical. LC works to improve the damage-per-bolt, and CR improves the stability, handling, and range. Do NOT overlook this trait combo.

oh man, compulsive reloader and reservoir burst on this thing is a match made in heaven. mine came with a reload MW, so this thing reloads crazy fast especially because of the synergy with the new origin trait (omolon one grants increased reload and stability for the top half of the mag) and lets me blow shit up with impunity. im actually beginning to prefer this over my 6k kills null composure just because FF requires a kill. amazing gun for add clear, look for this roll for your pve explodey needs

look out for firmly planted+HIR for pvp, this roll shreds as well and can map people from surprising ranges just like its other precision frame brothers

Got a roll with reservoir burst and stats for all and it can deal some really good damage, plus its void so it has some synergy with some void 3.0 stuff

I was going to say its actually disgusting how many splosions you can make with this thing and that combo. But even without RB, once you have VR proc'd, you can essentially have a lesser version of it if you have a roll with Stats For All and Successful Warmup.

Hands down my favorite fusion in PvP and 2nd favorite in PvE (loaded question with demo and Pugilist slaps hard).

PvE: I like compulsive reloader and Frenzy. Resevior Burst is great, but I don't enjoy reloading so frequently and only getting enhanced damage on one shot. Frenzy gets that sweet 15% damage boost, bonus reload speed and handling after just a short time of being in combat that stays active until the end of the engagement. Feels like a high impact frame with successful warmup!

PvP: Fusion rifle go BRRRT. I have surplus and High Impact Reserves and let me tell you, this thing will melt your opponents. Surplus granting extra stability is great for making sure all of your bolts hit their target. As long as you're in the right engagement distance then your opponent will be hard pressed to kill you or escape before you melt them.

I highly recommend checking out what roll you get before scrapping any snorri regardless if you're a PvP or PvE person!

Absolutely ridiculous with firmly planted and high impact reserves. Hate to say it but this thing carried me to flawless and high rankings in comp pvp. If you have this role use it. No questions asked just use it.

get a roll with compulsive reloader and reservoir and you're in business. Firmly planted is also really good, and you can have high impact reserves or something as well. Solid fusion

As a player who has loved fusions since 2014, this has got to be one of my absolute favorite fusions since the game came out. Now, I will go against the grain every chance I get and tell you I love a perk combo that others may not. There are 2 new perks for fusions this season that I am absolutely enamored with!

Smallbore, Particle Repeater, Steady Hands, and Successful Warm up with a charge time masterwork. Don't overlook this combo if you get it!

It quickly destroys without hesitation when you get it going. This is a ridiculously fun combo. It’s like a legendary child of merciless and erentil. I love being able to just let this thing go to town and take out any guardians standing even remotely close to one another.

Fun in PvE as well.

A beautiful fission in both pvp and pve. Think of it as if main ingredient and erentil had a kid.

Lmao. Legit dethroned Null Composure and Glaciocasm in PVE for me. Free fast reload speed with origin trait (no need subsistence/feeding) , no need kills for reservoir burst uptime.

Though it's sad we don't have a way to target farm world guns, I'm kind of glad just because of this gun. With Void synergy it is a crowd clearer. PVP wise, this is at good as pre nerf Glacioclasm and Erentil. I'd go as far to say it is better. Arrowhead Brake/Particle Repeater w Surplus/Sussesful Warmup is Erentil w Backup Plan, BUT triple 100 in stability, handling, and reload with all abilities. Very easy to exploit with double charges.

Please watch for this weapon when it drops for you.

Nearly two years on, how well has Snorri held up?

I would not use it in PVE due to a relatively low DPS archetype, no Controlled Burst, and no Overflow/Envious Assassin equivalent to overflow the mag or provide free reloads; the best you've got is a fast manual reload with Compulsive Reloader or Stats for All into Reservoir Burst. It's serviceable enough, but more recent fusions hit way harder in PVE whether you're going CB or RB; Scatter Signal, Nox Perennial, The Eremite, and Loaded Question are all stellar, and even Glacioclasm with its latest iteration wipes the floor with this gun if you're doing PVE and need a void fusion specifically.

PVP is a much different story. Firmly Planted did eat a sizeable nerf since this fusion was introduced, as did the precision frame generally (precision frame guns have a hidden -20% reduction to their recoil yaw, causing them to shoot more vertically than you'd expect; at some point this number was halved on fusions). However, a lot of Snorri's competition also ate a bunch of nerfs. Main Ingredient took a direct nerf. So did Tap the Trigger. So did Under Pressure. So did Rangefinder. The shotgun meta is a lot less front and center (aside from Conditional Finality, which is a bit mandatory due to Well and bubble supers), and sniper rifles do less body shot damage. SMGs got their wings clipped on several occasions (though they also gained a powerful tool in Target Lock).

So we're in a world where a lot of the best things about PVP fusions of old are gone, but there's also still plenty of room for them to flourish. Where does that leave Snorri? Actually in a pretty good place, just with a different roll than I would have suggested in times past. In my mind there are two routes to go on fusions: for rapids and adaptives, you need to invest in consistency, as their spread patterns are harder to work with and their damage per burst isn't great, so hitting more bolts and needing fewer bolts is a worthwhile investment. Precisions and high-impacts have much more built-in forgiveness, but they lack in charge time, so it's worth investing in that, instead. Successful Warm-Up is top shelf for this, since charge time tends to matter more for 1v2 situations (if you only have one target, you can just pre-charge).

The natural pairing for Successful Warm-Up, then, is Heating Up. With no crouch requirement and bigger bonuses to your accuracy cone (mostly) than post-nerf Firmly Planted, it'll ensure that that same follow up shot is much easier to land. So: precharge somebody to get the first kill, then rely on your incredibly juiced accuracy and 490ms charge time to take care of the second. (465ms if you include a charge time masterwork, which is probably worth it now that that no longer tanks your damage--unlike Accelerated Coils, which you should avoid unless you're confident in landing 6/7 bolts on T8 and above guardians.) Throw on some range in the barrel and the battery (stability is likely overkill, but you may find you like it), and you're solid.

Among precision frames, only Plug One.1 offers a similar style of play (and Deliverance, but that's in the top slot). Main Ingredient and Epicurean exist, but those are consistency kings.

Crucially, Snorri is also way easier to acquire than it has been since TWQ launched (when you could farm it the same way everyone farmed their Funnelweb before the chest cheese was patched). It's focusable at the gunsmith whenever Omolon weapons are available. Gunsmith engrams aren't super common to come by; they can be farmed pretty decently in master lost sectors, just show up on a day when a relatively easy one is in rotation like the Dreaming City ones. It still beats trying to farm the pre-S23 world loot pool, though!

Give it a shot sometime.

[meh forgot to give it 5 stars in PvP]
This thing's packed with quite a few good combos, preferably Compulsive Reloader/Reservoir Burst for PvE and Firmly Planted/High-Impact Reserves for PvP. Outside of those the perk pool is still solid and Omolon Fluid Dynamics only improves it so you're bound to find something great here.
