TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks

It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.

Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.

TIP: Popularity Ranks

The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

Generally speaking, fusions fall into two categories: utility fusions and damage fusions. Utility fusions work best when they are rapid-fire frames (think Riptide with ALH and chill clip). Damage fusions work best when they are high-impact frames (think Eremite with EA and controlled burst). This gun is a precision frame, so it does not perform either of those roles particularly well.

Of course, neither of the examples mentioned above deal arc damage, and some players might be inclined to chase this drop on that basis alone. However, better options already exist for arc damage as well. For an arc utility fusion, see Iterative Loop with compulsive reloader and voltshot. For an arc damage fusion, see Loaded Question with overflow and controlled burst.

Now, not every player was around in S21 to get a Loaded Question, and not every player is masochistic enough to chase Neomuna red borders. For those players, this gun could be a serviceable alternative. But if you've been around for a while (or are simply on the fence about this gun), odds are it's not worth the chase.

Lots of combos to go for here.

PVE:
* Feeding Frenzy + Voltshot, since Feeding Frenzy is the only perk here that buffs your Reload Speed
* Reconstruction + Reservoir Burst gives you a huge amount of shots that deal 25% more damage and cause enemies to explode on death
* Reconstruction + Controlled Burst is also good for Fusion DPS

PvP:
* Slideways + Kickstart gives you 15 stability, 30 handling, +15% damage and -20% charge time just for sliding
* Lone Wolf + Closing TIme at max gives up to 20 aim assist, 20 AE, 20 range, and an unknown amount of handling and accuracy
* Under Pressure + Closing TIme gives your last shot 30 stability, 20 range, and an unknown amount of handling and accuracy

I got one with fluted/corkscrew -particle repeater -lone wolf -closing time -stability MW -adept range.

It feels really good, other than me being more acquainted towards adaptives. I think overall its pretty flexible in terms of stats due to the fact that it inherently has high range. Closing time is the new undisputed special weapon pvp perk in the game so just having that with at least one range stat is enough for 95-100 range. From there, third column really comes down to lone wolf or under pressure. Under pressure is the tried and true for fusions in the third column giving 30 stability and an accuracy bump. However, due to not really needing range on this fusion, the next most applicable stat is stability. With my roll, having base 71 range and 75 stability, there is no reason for anymore. Plus with Lone Wolf, you get 20 aim assist and an ADS scaler. This paired with the 40-50 handling that Closing Time gives makes it have 100 handling on top of an ADS scaler, proving to be the better option.

In Summary: Lone Wolf/Closing Time combo paired with mostly stability mods will grant you MAX range 70-80 stability, MAX handling and 90 aim assist at all times (while being away from allies)
This is the best overall stat fusion in the game. Not to mention being a precision it has no need for recoil direction due to vertical firing scaler.

Precision frame fusion rifles aren't terribly meta right now, as rapid fires and adaptives are very common in PvP (and in PvE with the right perks), while the high impact frames are the go to for high damage output in PvE.

If you played Final Shape, you can probably just craft Axial Lacuna, the solar cousin of Plug One, from the Pale Heart set and it covers all the bases that Plug One can cover, except for subclass synergies. Both can get Reconstruction with Controlled Burst or a subclass exclusive perk, Voltshot for Plug One and Incandescent for Axial. To me, the big sell for Plug One is Reservoir Burst, which gives 5% extra damage and a mini chain reaction explosion compared to Controlled Burst, while losing out on the decreased charge time. Slideways is a decent alternative to Reconstruction. Outside of that, the PvE options are not very appealing - if you want a Voltshot fusion rifle go for Iterative Loop, which has a much faster reload.

PvP has some decent options, but again Plug One is limited by being a precision frame. Sure you can get some extra distance in your burst if you time things right, but more often than not you're just flat out beaten by anyone with a rapid fire or adaptive frame. Under Pressure with Closing Time is really good for PvP, but you can get that on the rapid fire frame Zealot's Reward now. Slideways and Lone Wolf are also good options for column 3, while Kickstart is very nice for column 4 to combat the slower charge rate.

I would not categorize this weapon as a must have or something that needs to be farmed. That being said, if you run some GMs and get a decent one of these things to drop, give it a try. You might be surprised with what it can do.
