TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks

It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.

Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.

TIP: Popularity Ranks

The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

Igła z nitką

„Większość naszej zaawansowanej technologii po raz pierwszy użyły przeciwko nam obce rasy. Czas się odpłacić pięknym za nadobne”. – lord Saladyn

Wprowadzono go w protokoły Chrztu i wyjaśniono oczekiwania względem jego zwycięstwa.

Musi sprawić, by Straż Przednia stała się śmiertelna.

Ignovun wiedział, że te rozmyślania go nie ocalą. Ale nie bał się: jeśli mali ludzie mogą stawić czoła śmierci, to on też.

Only leaving this review so people know where to get it. Go to the H.E.L.M. and go to the Prismatic Recaster. Go to Season of The Lost (active season), then go to Tier 1 Focusing and get the 4th one (Tools Of The Chosen). You'll have the chance between Far Future (Sniper), Extraordinary Rendition (SMG), and this. Good luck! It's great for PVE bosses!. Never used it in Crucible.

This has far better perks to roll compared to Corsair's Wrath. Rapid Hit, Clown Cartridge, Field Prep, and Auto-Loading Holster all look to be great perks in the first slot, with Vorpal Weapon in the second for good Major/Boss damage. Depending on how good Frenzy is, that could also be a great choice for PvE.
Less certain about viability for PvP, though. But Vorpal Weapon means that this can always one-shot any Super, if you happen to have ammo for it when they come.

A LFR with actual damage perks? Incredible. Hopefull Bungie finally buffs lfrs so that they're usable.

It's funny, disappointing and confusing that Chosen dropped a lfr and smg that completely invalidate hunt's.

With the recent announcement of Bungie buffing linear fusions next season (the one after Chosen), this weapon could be the meta. Liquid Coils, Clown Cartridge/Rapid Hit, Vorpal/Frenzy. Definitely worth picking up if you’re looking for something to grind for.

Finally a worthy replacement to Line In The Sand! Rapid Hit/Field Prep will be your bread and butter reload, but if you like switching to your special or forget to reload then Autoloading is excellent too. As Linears definitely are single target weapons, I don't really see anything else as desirable as Vorpal or Frenzy. Get a good one in case Linears see a buff. For PVP... there are better options.

Since I can't edit my previous post I'll add this. Enhanced battery does not increase the mag size by itself and needs a backup mag mod to do so. I've yet to get a roll with ionized battery but that may be the best option when paired with auto-loading holster.

Ionized + Field prep + Vorpal with any mw other than charge time is probably the god roll for dps if LFRs get buffed. I have one with the same roll but with a charge time mw unfortunately and it does very well

Clown Cartridge Vorpal is so good in PVE paired with Vex Mythoclast and particle reconstruction. Spray 5 times in the crit spot of a boss with vex rapid fire mode to proc the damage boost and hit them with threaded needle.

Fantastic Linear fusion with rare privileged access to vorpal weapon; Chews through bosses with the particle deconstruction mod. Reed's Regret with triple tap is arguably better, but this fusion will still absolutely get the job done, and it's considerably more accessible. Pick it up to see how it feels :)

Don't sleep on Frenzy. Gives a 20% damage buff, compared to vorpal's 15%. Just requires you deal damage before 7 seconds passes by. Damage is insane, especially with Season of the Lost's Particle Deconstruction.

Field Prep + Vorpal is nice for NF's. Extra reserves help a lot.

This gun is simply not given enough credit, the Auto/Vorpal roll is absolutely killer and can be worked into so many different builds. Top tier weapon if you can find it.

Clown Cartridge \ Auto-Loading + Vorpal, and for MW go for reload OR range, BTW you will need this gun even in witch queen because LFR's are really good even without (particle deconstruction)

You want to use this over Reeds regret in Season 15. Due to it not getting the increased damage from Focusing lens (because of it being a stasis weapon for some reason)
Overall a 10/10 Linear fusion rifle for damage and general use. Would recommend.

It's been a couple years, and power creep has not been kind to this gun. First there was Reed's Regret, with Triple Tap/Firing Line. Then there was Cataclysmic with 4TTC/Bait and Switch (though it wouldn't be relevant until the latter was buffed into one of the best damage perks in the game).

Then there was Taipan with the same roll as Reed's and Veist Stinger (and also Reed's would get Veist Stinger). Taipan was far more accessible than any of the above (being one of the most easily obtained weapon patterns in the game).

Then there were the first aggressive frame LFRs. Stormchaser came out and was bugged to be able to fire faster than intended, blowing every other LFR out of the water. Fire and Forget was pretty mediocre, but Briar's Contempt would drop with Lightfall, and that gun rolls Surrounded, which, while situational, is extremely strong.

Additionally Vorpal ate a nerf on heavy weapons, LFRs ate a nerf generally, and rockets rose to prominence with the likes of Palmyra (later nerfed), Hothead, Blowout, and most recently Apex Predator and Cold Comfort. These newer rockets beat up every LFR in the game and stole their lunch money, especially in the context of Gjallarhorn existing.

If you have one of these, it's safe to dismantle, unfortunately.

This hits really hard because of Frenzy with liquid coils. Frenzy is better than Vorpal imo, for damage on champions also. It almost feels like a Xeno that can crit. You end up reloading more often but this thing can reload pretty fast if you decide to aim for reload speed (rapid hit).

Idk about PvP, haven't tried it. Would depend on the amount of ammo you get and if a bodyshot 1 shots. I never used a linear fusion before this one so I wouldn't know.
