[Shield-Piercing] Barrier Champions have nearly unbreakable shields that activate when they have been damaged.

You can damage Barrier Champion shields and stun them, preventing their health regeneration:

[Solar] when you are radiant;
[Void] when you have volatile rounds on your weapon;
[Strand] when you have unraveling rounds on your weapon;
[Headshot] when you damage them with a weapon granted the [Shield-Piercing] Pierce trait by a Seasonal Artifact perk.
