TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

The Lance is our first Strand Rapid Fire Sniper, and unfortunately is probably the biggest reason why people consider the Dungeons loot pool lackluster. For PvE, Column 3 has Keep Away, Hatchling, and Reconstruction, while Column 4 has Slice, Precision Instrument, Demolitionist, High Ground and Attrition Orbs. This weapons perk pool is definitely geared more towards utility than DPS - Precision Instrument is horrendous on a Sniper, as without a magazine perk you literally cannot reach max stacks without a blisteringly fast reload, and I would genuinely consider High Ground to be a better damage perk. You just won't get anywhere near the sheer output of Supremacy and Succession, or even a number of non-Raid options. If you're looking for a DPS option, don't bother looking here.
On the other hand, this weapons perk pool suggests it would be better as a utility weapon. Options like Hatchling, Slice, Demolitionist, and Attrition Orbs suggest you would be better off leaning into those... except Snipers make for horrible utility weapons unless that utility is DPS (or Add Clear in the case of Kinetic Tremors Supremacy). Primaries and almost any other Special weapon make for better options to lean into literally every single one of these options. Both other Strand weapons from this Dungeon lean into utility better than this thing, and one of them is a Caster Sword!
Naeem has a pretty shit Lance, all told. Either lean into things like Reconstruction + Slice, or go find a different polearm to stab people with. Like a Glaive! Use Glaives more. Probably makes for a better Sniper than this...
PvP? Lol. Lmao even. Unless you plan to Slice someone while you dome them, nothing in Column 4 will help you in PvP - not unless you intend to use High Ground to 2-body people at 2 Resilience and below, I guess. In Column 3, Keep Away and Elemental Capacitor are good... but Keep Away rolls on several significantly better Sniper Rifles. For Rapid Fires alone, you have Supremacy, A Distant Pull, even friggin' Persuader has better PvP rolls than this does. And I'm not even going to touch Elemental Capacitor. There are far better options for Rapid Fire snipers, whether you own every Season and DLC or are entirely F2P!
In Summary... just... just don't bother, with this Sniper. Its sad to say for a unique new design and element+frame, but Naeem's Lance has nothing going for it. Its entirely outclassed in PvP, and the one thing it has going for it in PvE is done better by the other two Strand weapons in the Dungeon. The only reason to use it is if you really like its model + sound design or are doing a loadout cosplay. Otherwise, just literally go try any other Sniper - there's a high chance they will be better than this.
