Graverobber/Close to Melee is an insane PVE combo and absolutely wrecks even in higher-level content. Throw in a Banner of War Titan using Synthoceps and baby you got a a stew going.

Still shocked how many players shit on glaives in PVE, maybe they should try using them first?

Becuase Bungie has made getting in close to higher level enemies a MISERABLE experience. Slam, Stomp push and intense Area of Effect on the floor are the standard NPC counters. So not only is it annoying to deal with its simply irritating.

We Heard You Hate Reloading Glaives: The Movie. Inspired by a true story.

You do of course have some good damage perks like Close to Melee and Tricorn, but if you're looking for a glaive that will keep you alive, Albedo has a lot of promise. Glaive shields are tied to projectile hits, and projectiles are tied to ammo economy (and having ammo actually in the mag ready to fire). So to that end you have potent reload combos like Demo+Clown. Or for more ammo economy you could go with Field Prep + Lead from Gold.

Clown can potentially give you 150% shield uptime before you need to reload. Demo can give you that lightning fast, hate-fueled reload. Field Prep is a bit of both, quicker reloads and more ammo in your back pocket to sustain long-term shield uptime.

Appended Mag is easily the preferred pick over Extended Mag. It offers an equal mag increase, without the heavy hit to reload speed. Airborne effectiveness on a weapon that functionally cannot ADS is nonsense, and I encourage you to fly responsibly. Please don't shoot a glaive in the air.

Keep Away seems like a perk to... uh... keep away from. It's like putting Surrounded on a 150 scout. When are you ever going to want that, and how is it going to help you in that situation? You're less being rewarded for staying at range and more being punished for getting up close.

Beacon rounds / Close to melee looks like it'll be a fun, if not also efficient, combo. Projectile kills grant your projectiles tracking and increased melee damage, and continued projectile damage extends the duration of both effects.

While I don't use glaives in PvP, I've seen them used to devastating potential, and I imagine that tracking projectiles on an aggressive glaive like this one could be interesting.

Not sure why you two are being downvoted for saying beacon rounds is a waste of a perk in PvE when it's true. The velocity of this glaive's projectiles are already high, so tracking does next to nothing. If anything, it'll mess you up more than help you as it can track to targets you weren't aiming at. Beacon Rounds is a PvP perk, not PvE. You can definitely say beacon is FUN in PvE, but to say it's good there is a lie.

Idk... I'd probably go clown cartidage/replenishing aegis + close to melee because the relatively high proyectile speed doesn't seem to let beacon rounds kick in on mid to far range, so it only really does a extremely minor adjustment that will basically never make a difference...

Yeah, beacon is nigh imperceptible. You're essentially putting in all the effort of manually aiming, and beacon is trying to take the credit for it. When it wouldn't be there for you if you're slightly off reticle, or if the target jukes...

Beacon Rounds is a fun choice with the huge reticle this glaive has, but the lockon only works at a very short range (20-25 meters if I had to guess). Keep an eye on it if Bungie ever buffs the red reticle range for glaives.
As it stands it's a fun gimmick to play with if you're a big fan of glaives.

Replenishing Aegis and Deconstruct is EXTREMELY funny because I never run out of ammo so long as something is firing at me.
deconstruct might be my new fav perk

TLDR
PVP Roll: Ballistic Tuning, Light Mag, Beacon Rounds, Golden Tricorn | Handling Masterwork |

This may be a bold review, but I'm going to say it here. This has become my favorite Glaive to use in PVP, and thats for 2 Reasons. Golden Tricorn and Beacon Rounds.

Albedo Wing is the first Glaive (As of Season 23) That can roll with Golden tricorn, which after a kill provides a quick 15% damage buff. However, this can be boosted to 50% with an arc grenade. The snowballing effect I find with this weapon when running any arc subclass is unmatched, and all it takes is one kill to start it.

Bonus points if you bring it with any glaive exotics, they're like bread and butter

Weapon getting downvoted by trolls. It's a good aggressive arc glaive, the PVE roll I personally want is lead from gold and replenishing aegis. Close to melee is also a great option.

I get FOMO and all that but making new stuff deliberately mediocre/similar to old stuff because some people are bored or burned out is like watering down your beer because abstinants said they wouldn't drink it.

Some people show up, others don't. Let's make beer for the people who show up.

The Dawning (2023) lasts two and a half months this time around, so there's plenty of time for even the most casual of players to be absolutely swimming in rolls. Unless someone is actively avoiding the event, in which case, that's totally on them. Plus, they gave us the first (and still only) stasis sword during a previous Dawning, and this year's Guardian Games gave us our very first strand scout, so it's not like there isn't any precedent for unique event weapons.
