The Glock and Balls has made a pretty strong entrance as a very respectable sidearm, especially if you're looking for a Strand primary given that sidearms have the highest dps of all primary weapons, albeit very limited ranges.

Lots of solid perk one options for PVE with perks like rewind rounds, pugilist, unrelenting and perpetual motion in the third column. I'd probably be suggesting either Rewind Rounds or Unrelenting.

For fourth column, there's some fun, newer options like Hatchling or the Raid weapon exclusive Paracausal Affinity perk. I've messed around with this perk a bit and it feels pretty good, but I'm not sure how big the numbers actually are. I was doing about 3.2k damage a shot without the perk proced, and 3.8k with it proced, so I'd guess *about* 20%? It also has the tried and true frenzy option for if you want one perk that'll just do everything for you.

Overall, I think it's a pretty solid gun. If I had to give one thing I dislike about this gun, it'd have to be that it's a reskin of the 7th seraph sidearm with some cheap plastic tacked on and it looks ugly as sin because of it.

I got mine with Swashbuckler and Rewind rounds. Honestly couldnt' ask for a better roll considering my current strand build leans heavily on proccing Unraveling rounds via melee kills. This'll grant me the 5 stacks for dmg along with the unraveling. Maybe hatchling works as a default for other classes, but what i got works for me.

No pvp review since i'm not that good with sidearms in crucible.

This is seriously one of the best sidearms in the game, and absolutely worth the chase to get one crafted for PvE.

I haven’t done too much experimenting on the perks myself, but this thing is stacked — every single perk is worthwhile depending on PvE/PvP and your playstyle. Hatchling is always the safe subclass synergy perk, but damage perks are going to be your butter to the sidearm’s bread here. All of them are good, but Frenzy is 15% damage, max handling, and max reload just for staying in the fight — clear winner in my eyes.

For the other column, Rewind Rounds is good for less reloading, Perpetual Motion is plain extra stats, but my money is on an uncommon choice — Pugilist.

With the Strand melee buffs coming in Season of the Deep, this thing is going to be insane for your ability uptime and your Tangle uptime as a result. Getting a melee charge back on Warlock/Titan = faster charge for the remaining one(s), and on Hunter you can prime them with your melee, catch it to get a good chunk back, then top off the rest with sidearm kills.

Seriously, don’t sleep on pugilist/frenzy. If you’re not convinced on Mykel’s Reverence specifically, Rufus’s Fury (the auto rifle) can have the same setup. You will not regret trying out this setup, I promise.

It's an awesome PVE sidearm. Quickly became my personal favorite from RoN loot pool, but It's hard to craft universal god roll. Depending on class I would craft:
Warlock: Rewind Rounds + Hatchling (Massive synergy with threadling's builds)
Hunter: Unrelenting + Paracasual Affinity (Extra survivability + dealing fast with suspended targets)
Titan: Pugilist + Swashbuckler (Great melee synergy)

I'm not a big fan of PVP sidearms but if you want to try, look for Rewind Rounds/Perpetual Motion for first slot and Tap The Trigger and do not forget about range masterwork.

This is basically the AR but in sidearm form.
PVE wise this thing is wildly versatile.
For strand builds use rewind + hatchling
for melee builds use Pugilist + Swash
and for general play both paracausal affinity and frenzy and really nice perks

Over all 4/5 in PVE because it does a couple of unique things, is a endgame viable choice for sidearm users, and is craftable. Could be 5/5 for some players if they don't already have a similar sidearm they really love.

Imo this is probably going to be one of the more underrated guns for a while... I got a roll with unrelenting/frenzy and it's been a huge help w/ strand and its lack of healing.

as far as side arms go, this alien glock is pretty lethal in close ranges. dealing 36dmg with precisions. i found myself firing from the hip quite frequently. Going for max range with full bore is definitely an option, but arrow head seems pretty good as well. Tap the trigger actually feels really good on this gun.

PVP roll: arrowhead, ricochet, perpetual motion, tap the trigger

I am mainly interested in this weapon for kills immediately after suspending targets with Drengar's Lash because of the high DPS. I had two non-crafted versions with Paracausal before I got my last red border. One with Unrelenting, one with Rewind Rounds. Against champions, RR is definitely much better since you are able to keep DPS sustained for longer. Unrelenting has felt pretty good here too as outside of picking up Orbs with Recuperation equipped, Strand Titan does not have access to healing on their own. It pairs well with Paracausal since both need multikills to be useful. Winner: Rewind Rounds.

I've not tried Hatchling on this weapon but I've used it on several others and I'm not a fan (for Strand Titan, maybe if I played my Strand Warlock more I'd feel differently). As I've leveled up my crafted version, I am liking Frenzy more than Paracausal because if I set up long enough to get into combat before I pop my barrier for Drengar's Lash, I have that 15% damage buff for the entire duration of the suspend and that 100 handling makes swapping to/from the weapon as mobs go in/out of effective range of sidearms feels really nice. Normally, I would never think to pair RR with Frenzy but in this case, I don't think the value in Frenzy is the reload as much as it's the handling & damage buff. I won't get the enhanced versions quite yet but I do think for my play, that might feel the best with how I intend to use this weapon.

As an aside, I've been leveling up a crafted version in PvP and it feels suprisingly good. TBH, I did not expect it.

I am a SMG guy and I hate sidearms. Never used a sidearm in my 4yrs playing d2. But RNG ended up giving me 5 patterns to craft it and sidearms are antibarrier and got a 20% buff in s20 mid season patch. So I was on a mission to find a roll that can convert MYKEL into a SMG playstyle gun and I may have found it. Yes this is my PVE roll. I dont play pvp.

Hammerforged rifling + light mag + rewind rounds + tap the trigger + range MW

-- What is my objective?
Personally I dont like perks that improve or depend on abilities like pugilist, demo, thresh, elemental cap, hatchling etc. I like my perks to improve the gun itself. In this case, I used the perks to turn it into an SMG by trying to fix 2 problems I have with this gun. The small mag size and the horrible vertical recoil.

-- Why rewind rounds?
Rewind rounds compensate for the small mag size especially when focusing on a slightly chunky single target. It will make sure you get the kill before having to reload. Also RR is extremely viable for higher difficulty content as it gives free ammo for just getting hits.

-- Why Tap the Trigger?
The biggest problem with this gun for me was the vertical recoil when you hold down trigger. This is where tap the trigger comes in. With the auto fire accessibilty option now, TTT is always active on this gun. Basically giving you +33 stability for free. You only have to slightly move the mouse down to shoot straight. And it also means your base stability only has to be 67 ( TTT will add 33 and make it 100). Freeing up barrel and mag perks to focus on other attributes like Reload, Range, Handling. Reload and Handling can be further improved by taking advantage of the origin trait if you like. That leaves us with Range so I Masterworked it.

This weapon is a rapid-fire frame, which is already full auto. The full auto accessibility option doesn't affect the functionality of the weapon, and does not cause tap the trigger to be continuously active (I believe TTT only rolls on weapons that are already full auto anyway). TTT is only active for the first 0.6 seconds of firing (or 0.76 if enhanced). If you want it to re-proc, you need to actually take your finger off the trigger.

There are a few burst fire side arms (liminal vigil and last dance may be the only two left that aren't sunset) that can roll TTT where full auto accessibility will keep it active every burst while holding down the input. But yes for full auto weapons it doesn't change how TTT activates. Fusion rifles can also roll TTT and if holding the input would also have it active every burst.

I'm a bit confused as to why Hatchling is such a popular perk here. Have you guys actually, you know, shot this gun? Or did you see the funny Threadling perk and immediately throw this in your vault? Mykel's kicks like a mule; precision final blows are easier said than done. You know what's always a good choice in the 4th column, and doesn't need you to gnab headshot kills? Paracausal Affinity. 20% damage buff for Stasis or Strand kills. Best way I can describe it is a combination of Adrenaline Junkie, Swashbuckler, Harmony and Rampage, but it can trigger from Class Ability and Super kills too.
