Q: What are masterwork rolls?
A: Most legendary weapons are capable of being Masterworked. The masterwork system is a way for you to upgrade your favorite weapons to their maximum potential.
Q: What does it take to upgrade a weapon to a masterwork?
A: Upgrading your weapons, in broad terms, takes a small amount of glimmer, legendary shards, and, most importantly, Enhancement Cores.
Depending on what Tier your weapon is at, the requirements to raise it to the next tier increase the closer the weapon is to being fully masterworked (Tier 10).
Q: What benefits do I get for masterworking a weapon?
A: Each tier that you increase your weapon will grant a small buff to a single stat, chosen randomly when the item drops.
Beyond that, at Tier 5 you gain access to a kill tracker. At Tier 10, your multi-kills will generate orbs of light.
Q: So what are these "masterwork roll" stats?
A: These are the possible stats that upgrading your weapon will grant a bonus to. Depending on what tier you are at, you can grant anywhere from 1-10 additional points in any of the stats listed to your weapon.
Q: Any catch with this?
A: The Bungie API currently says that all weapons can potentially roll with all stats as their masterwork stat. This obviously isn't accurate, as Blast Radius isn't applicable to, say, Auto Rifles.
The list you see on this page is trimmed to only show stats that actually appear on the weapon. However, it is possible that Bungie has additional logic behind the scenes that further filters these
possibilities to, for example, prevent certain items from being able to have an Impact masterwork. Until Bungie modifies the API files to 100% accurately display which masterwork stats are possible on
each item, take what you see here with a pinch of salt.
For PVE im running threat detector and Surrounded feels like much like Frenzy pre nerf.
If you want it farm it now because it will be gone next month.
Godspeed "a swift verdict".
look no further, this gun has all you could want and more
the perkpool is small but almost every perk is a hit
it feels nice in your hand
it is easy to get (if you got friends to farm the dungeon that is)
and the best of all is its size
its so small letting you gain a full view on your enemy without taking up a third of your screen
PVP:
We will not be using rangefinder because, in a few months, it'll be range-no-finder. However, this isn't the end for this little guy because we have slideshot (the perk I'm betting on that will replace rangefinder entirely as it gives 20 range and 30 stability) With a Tacital Sight, Ricochet rounds, slide shot, and range masterwork you get 92 range (17.11 meters) and 80 stability. The last collum is kind of lacking now that rangefinder is not an option. I'd recommend Zen Moment or Kill Clip, Zen for a more consistent time using it (we don't know values of the benefits it gives so that makes it kind of hard to recommend it) and while I like consistency perks over chaining perks, you cannot ignore that with kill clip up you three tap any resilience at 0.47 ttk (2 head 1 body tier 5 and under but whose out here running anything under tier 8?)
PVE:
I want sidearms to be good in PVE but SMGs are just way too good for add clear, and we have one for every flavor of subclass that can build into subclass verbs. If you want to run it THAT bad however, I could see a play for threat detector + wellspring/surrounded. But just used Funnelweb/Unforgiven if you want a primary void add clear weapon.
10/10 would recommend this Lonesome double
Kinda like last word for PVP, probably not worth learning
