TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

for PvE demo is best but for PvP you will want one of the payload perks
timed payload to flinch the enemy so hard they snap their neck
explosive payload if you want the extra damage at max range
after using both a rangefinder/explosive and an overflow/explosive i can say that the rangefinder doesnt really come into play ever when you have explosive, so i would stick with overflow for the easy no reload part
PvE: it's a pretty solid 120, never really vibed with them in PvE but with Explosive Payload in non-endgame content you really can't go wrong
PvP: finding the map pool a little too long ranged for the typical 140 HC these days I've switched to 120s and while you will still get outranged by scouts, pulses, etc and your up close ttk is worse, they're very solid workhorses that do what they need to. With 120s unless you have an unobtainable one in the vault, options are pretty limited. While I would say Bottom Dollar is the best 120 you can still easily obtain due to versatility, getting a roll you want on it is a nightmare and it is energy slot weapon (leaving options like Without Remorse, Beloved and Time lost Found Verdict unable to be used). True Prophecy fills a great role with both payload options as well as rangefinder and opening shot, making it a dueling beast while being a kinetic weapon. Feels great to use, has sight options, and has a slim model, I can't recommend it enough.
If you like any 120 HC or have any interest in them I highly recommend picking this one up. Just make sure to save your strange coins for when it's in the dares rotation.
for the ammo perks i think appended, flared magwell or tac mag is the best mailny because have more stabilty is awesome and for the sights i would reccomend fastdraw, steady hand or true sight (the latter is my fav) when you put those perks together you have a beast of a 120 that def competes in higher tiers in pvp but i do think it needs a range buff since the range is one of the lowest compared to other 120's even if you stat it out for max range.
It feels amazing to have a gun that is unique in the game and performs as it should.
PVP:Hitmark/Tactical/Rangefinder/T Payload Range Mw
PVE:Steady/Appended/Overflow/Rampage Stability Mw get it now because the 110 buffs are coming!
PvP roll: Steadyhand HCS, Tactical Mag, Rangefinder, Timed Payload, Stability MW
True Prophecy is the jack of all trades for 120 handcannons. While Igenous and Steady Hand are easier to acquire, True Prophecy has great overlap for PvE or PvP with its small perk pool.
It kicks, but it also feels very composed at the same time. I would recommend trying out Fastdraw/TacMag/Opening Shot/Explosive Payload.
There are also some excellent PvE traits to be had with this weapon and it's a very solid kinetic primary for anyone looking to get a 120 HC.
Personally I have a overflow and demo but it doesn't deal a proportional amount of damage compared to how slow firing it is.
Now I'm not saying that just this one in specific but all 110 rpm hand cannons in general they just aren't viable in most activities.
