Best special GL for DPS right now. This thing does 30% more damage per shot than lightweight frame GLs. I have a roll that is identical to the salvager's salvo (quick launch, spike nades, demo, vorpal, handling MW), and it hits like a train.

Pair it with a field prep + clown cartridge rocket launcher or gjallahorn and you've got an insane starfire protocol hotswapping build

Single shot damage numbers (tested on Carl with major spec)

The unique frame gives it extra damage on direct hits , as while the explosion dmg is scaled due to it firing 2 shots , impact is effectively untouched so you deal twice the impact damage . Spike nades for this reason feels almost mandatory for dps .
This is mainly going to be a dps pick for solar locks running the nade build with the demo + vorpal roll
AL + vorpal can be a replacement for certain builds.
The total reserves with this frame is slightly lower but not really a concern as you are using a special gl .
I do not have any PvP comments as I don't play PvP . I would imagine breach GLs are pretty miserable in general in PvP.

Blinding gernades/Auto loading/ & frenzy are amazing on this thing, especially with weakened clear & the double grenades make it easy to land shots

Anyone writing a bad review has absolutely no idea about anything in this game. This grenade launcher has one of the most INSANE combos we have seen, especially this season. Blinding Nades + Repulsor Brace + Vorpal Weapon.
Now, why is that so good? why am I talking to myself? good questions!

Blinding Nades don't need an introduction, I think by this point even the average blueberry knows those are good. Now: Repulsor Brace, why is that so good? this season we have weakened clear, which counts as a void debuff! so you can continously trigger Repulsor by simply using that mod. Once this season is over, Hunters can simply run Gyrfalcon to abuse this further. Why vorpal then? considering anything under a yellow bar is either one or two shot, you can use this to properly damage champs and other high tier enemies. Alternatively you can run Lead from Gold if you intend to run something like double special.

I highly recommend this thing to everyone. ESPECIALLY Gyrfalcon Hunters, you all will be nigh unkillable with this thing.

I'd rather not rely on the season artifacts for the benefits, but otherwise I genuinely like this concept.
The fact that utilizing volatile rounds or debuffs like Devour procing can help with getting Repulsor Brace very often.

I have been seeing that people state that vorpal is the best. Don't get me wrong it is. My role is a disorienting nades / auto loading / frenzy. For GMs, this role is amazing, while vorpal is great with damage, it does the same damage as frenzy on a special weapons (this being one), plus with the benefits of increased handling and reload speed. My opinion is that Frenzy is overall better since it does damage to all enemies and not just yellow bars and higher. :-)

this with demo and Vorpal + dragons breath is one of the best damage starts for Atheon as a warlock because of the Nade regen on hit. it gets even better when you add Starfire too, for everything else use auto+vorpal.

Instant MW on an Auto Loading + Lead from Gold drop with both Blinding and Spike. There's a little bit of everything for different types of players - Repulsor Brace for Void fans (especially hunters this season), Vorpal Weapon for Damage options, and comes with Frenzy.

Honestly, I would shoot for anything that includes Auto Loading - Look for Spike Grenades in the second column for extra damage on impact, or blinding grenades if you're looking for utility.

On a more serious note, this thing is absolutely NUTS. Every perk--save for Feeding Frenzy and Lead from Gold--is easily S-tier. There are so many builds you can make with this monster of a grenade launcher. Absolute must-have.

The only (and I do mean only) drawback this gun has is that Void is a mediocre damage affinity. The instant a Void heavy comes out that is viable for DPS rotations, this gun will shine bright.

For when the time comes, look for Spike, ALH, and Vorpal.
Demo and Frenzy are okay substitutes for their respective columns. The frame does the heavy lifting anyways
Handling MW preferred but MW isn't make or break at all

Yes this weapon has great perks, blinding/spike, repulsor brace/auto-loading, but I want to talk about the origin perk of this weapon. Tex Balanced Stock is so ridiculously synergistic with this weapon its stupid. Fire from the hip and you get 20 reload speed and .9x reload scaler. Just by firing your weapon ONCE (from the hip, which is the preferred method for grenade launchers), your reload speed SKYROCKETS. Combined with a brand new, high damage archetype and its great perks, this is a MUST HAVE for grenade launcher enthusiasts.

I dont usually bother to write reviews, but I feel like people are generally sleeping on just how great this gl is (competing even with the likes of forbearance) is and want to bring a few observations I've had playing with this gun to light:

Gyrfalcon hunters (or anyone while volatile flow is in the artifact) practically have this weapon tailor-made for them because one projectile will proc volatile rounds on everything in the blast radius and the second will detonate it. If you get your hands on one with repulsor brace the above combo will ALSO give you an overshield with every single kill. Furthermore, when blowing up particularly squishy targets like thralls, the explosion tends to send them flying before volatile rounds explodes, giving you a budget chain-reaction for free. Lastly, tex-stock origin trait was made for this thing, as ADSing on breach-GLS usually isn't required, beefing up that mediocre reload stat. Even if you have frenzy buffing your reload and handling to max, tex-stock will give you a .9 reload scaler on top of that for free. If you find a good copy of this, definitely give it a try before giving it the ol' dismantle.
