TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

Backup Plan + Kickstart can get 3-bolt kills on 5 or less resil, which is worse than baseline, but cuts the charge time to nearly rapid-fire levels--and if you don't mind just accepting a four-bolt kill, Accelerated Coils and Charge Time Masterwork brings it down to 493ms.

Whether that makes it worth running over fusions of another archetype is not something I'm qualified to say. Things do start to get interesting once you add things like Radiant or Gyrfalcon's Hauberk to the mix...
Range is also pointless on fusion rifles, you want to spec into stability when crafting this.
I recommend Chambered Compensator, Particle Repeater, Field Prep, Reservoir Burst, and a stability masterwork. Its range is already fine at base given its frame, so minimizing the recoil between shots in the burst will make it much more consistent against beefier enemies. Unfortunately at the time of this review (S20/Defiance), there's not many (if any) ways to get this weapon Overcharged, so I don't know how it would fare in high-end content. But for 90% of the game, this thing will shred through most enemies, has huge reserves + a snappy reload with Field Prep, and when near even just 2 allies you get 3 consecutive RB shots.
If you have this thing crafted, level it up and give it a try. It's more fun than you might think.
The 5 PvP stars are specifically for one perk combo — BPlan and SW-U. It's so crisp, it's great for shutting down aggression, and when you get SW-U rolling you can go hunting. Slap a Counterbalance on, put on a Fusion targeting mod, go to town. Kickstart is very, very hard to effectively use with 960's, especially if you're not using BPlan or Cornered, and I'm really not a fan of Cornered. You can even get Hipfire Grip if you're one of... those... And, of course, TTT, ol' reliable.
Haven't tried it in PvE, people here say it's cool.
