Letofobia

"Sei infelice?" chiese Huginn, sorpreso.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned. I have bloodied my hands with the blood of those I quick swapped. I have damned myself into the lowest rings of hell with each disruption break laced arrow hit. I, and many who have touched this bow do not deserve forgiveness or redemption from the living or dead. 10/10 bow would use again.

A bow without Archers Tempo? In this economy?!

Lethophobia's main competition lies in the Precision Frame Under Your Skin from Risen, and the Lightweight Frame Imperial Needle from Chosen. Nowadays Needles perk pool is a bit thin on the ground, so lets compare to the other. The frame difference is probably going to decide it for a lot of people - do you prefer the faster draw of a Lightwieght or the bigger damage of a Precision? Would you rather use Opening Shot, Adaptive Munitions, Tunnel Vision and the super-fast Archers Tempo + Successsful Warm Up combo, or the more unique offerings of Lethophobia? Its up to you. But lets actually talk perks.

Regarding PvE, Lethophobia has Permeability, Impulse Amplifier, Repulsor Brace, Successful Warmup, and Enlightened Action in Column 3. Of those, Warmup is probably best for general play due to the draw time reduction, while Repulsor has some use on Void Builds that can apply debuffs easily. For Column 4, you have... well, all of them. Your best options, however, are Disruption Break for buffing Kinetic Specials like Izanagis, Explosive Head for general work, Golden Tricorn or Attrition Orbs for ability builds or Repulsor pairing (depending on if you want damage or... well, orbs), and High Ground or Surrounded if you want a more simple damage perk.

In PvP, successfully proccing x2 Golden Tricorn makes this a one tap, though thats only for builds that can consistently achieve that. Otherwise, this weapon appears to hold a distinct niche as a hot-swap option, with Disruption Break granting a frankly absurd 50% damage boost to kinetic weapons. This was apparently a thing already with the Explosive Personality grenade launcher, but now theres a primary ammo version - and bow swapping was already annoying. Otherwise Explosive Head is a good flinch option and Deconstruct is there if you particularly hate Barricades. Meanwhile your best slot 3 perk is Impulse Amplifier, for the significantly faster arrows (interestingly enough, its the first bow to roll with it since Wolftone Draw 2 years ago). Slickdraw hurts your aim assist, and Lethophobia has good base handling, so its not much of an issue.

Overall, this bow isn't winning any awards for performance, but what it can do it does very well.

Gyrfalcon's Hunters and Contraverse Holds/Felwinter/Briarbinds warlocks will enjoy this bow quite a bit, even strand/stasis can somewhat make use of this (also any sadist in crucible)

Some may scoff at this bow upon looking at its perk pool and not seeing the "meta" perks, but thats not what we're here for is it? we're here to have fun! Lethophobia does indeed some very interesting and thought provoking combos for PvE with even a "fun" combo for your fellow guardians in the crucible. (Spoiler~ bow swapping is back again)

Mine is
Polymer String - Fiberglass Arrowshaft - Enhanced Repulsor Brace - Enhanced Explosive Head - Draw Time Masterwork
you can go the Elastic String route if you want but I wanted the extra 5 accuracy cause im a gremlin.`
(Now for you Felwinter Warlocks specifically if you're feeling a lil devious you can swap out Enhanced Explosive Head for Enhanced Surrounded)

Speaking of fun its mad scientist time, an interesting combo you could try out this during this season is Enhanced Permiability - Enhanced Attrition Orbs on your Strand subclasses. As bows only need 5 hits to spawn an orb it has relatively easy access to Unraveling Rounds and Woven Mail due to the artifact perk "Unraveling Orbs" and Thread of Warding respectively. You also get access to threadlings because of another artifact perk "Horde Shuttle" as long as you keep the orb loop going. of course you could always just use a damage perk along side Permiability as well since it allows you to triple dip surge mods on darkness subclasses.

For PvP we already know the pain this damn thing is gonna bring with Disruption Break and Impulse Amplifier (some hunter with a rat king made me sad [punch my desk] hot swapping with this)

This bow is quite the interesting puzzle piece for Void/Stasis/Strand builds, and I am very interested to see what shenanigans people get up to with this thing.

TL;DR:
Le Monarque's legendary debuff/support cousin made for hotswaps and shield breaking. Primary ammo + high range + bow utility.

PvP:
Polymer + Fiberglass + Impulse Amplifier/Steady Hands + Disruption + target acquisition masterwork
Build towards accuracy, draw time, and swap time. Impulse Amplifier changes your bow projectile to almost hit-scan. Accuracy helps ensure more likely crits that proc Disruption (and Steady Hands if a kill too) and lowers the time to swap and kill them off quickly with something like a High Impact hand cannon, sniper rifle, or even vorpal weapons.

PvE:
Polymer + Fiberglass + Permeability/Steady Hands + Disruption + target acquisition masterwork
Similar build/playstyle to PvP. Permeability combined with Disruption, imo, works better for PvE because you can change weapon elements for shield types and break it for the kinetic buff all on the same weapon. Use the bow to break shields before swapping to finish off the enemy.

PvP & PvE Single Craft:
Set column 3 to Steady Hands, but keep the rest.

Special Note:
Whether in PvP or PvE, all teammates can capitalize on the Disruption debuff when active; it's not just your own kinetic weapons.
Disruption can stack with Tractor Cannon and I think Lumina as well, but unsure.

Overall, a 4.5/5. Pretty great when built as a shieldbreaker/debuffer, but I wholly expect a nerf to it sadly.

I think we have enough bows with Archers Tempo. I'd rather have interesting combinations than the same old "meta" perk combos.

please dont listen to the jims saying this bow is worse than under your skin. This weapon will become meta defining with rose now being farmable. Disruption break and steady hand on this bow will be OP.

I tried that when racing to beat the Warlord's Ruin dungeon yesterday, and I ended up swapping to a primary with destablizing rounds for faster add-clear. You can end up doing decent dmg against elites with GTx2, but that's hard to keep up even with a Gyrfalcon build (bear in mind we kept running out of ammo during the 2nd and 3rd boss fights, so I also needed a better DPS primary in general). The extra survivability from the shields didn't amount to that much w/ all the invisibility I was getting (you get more with destab) and not having a perk with faster draw speed kinda hurt the feel/DPS of this bow. I'll probably craft successful warm-up.

Repulsor Brace is pretty nutty on void Titans (using that overshield aspect), though!

This bow is just fine.
First Column you have Repulser Brace and Successful Warm-up both being in the first column is really detrimental for this bow. Neither of witch are particularly good outside of very particular builds.
Second Column has Explosive head and Golden Tricorn. Explosive head is the better perk of the two except in very niche use cases.
The Only build this bow will see use in is Gyrfalcon's, and even then there are better options. Not having archer's tempo really kills this bow when compared to others. If you want a craftable void bow, use Under your skin.

I'd like to know this as well. From just eyeballing it, it doesn't seem to affect it but I haven't recorded and do a frame by frame so I'm not sure.
