As sad as it is you cant roll en garde and assassins blade on the same sword like you could with the old black armory swords, this still has good rolls...
I want thresh or tireless with assassins blade.
Start with the stats - best in class impact and charge time. Compared to Half Truths, it's a monster.
Then consider the ammo economy with Tireless Blade (enhanced gives the chance for even ADDITIONAL ammo refunds), or Relentless Strikes for boss DPS.
Next, stick Chain Reaction on there, which seems to proc Tireless Blade, so you can get 3-4 ammo from a single swing. It literally generates ammo. Or if you went Relentless Strikes, you could use One-For-All or Surrounded, which has one of the highest damage increases in the game.
And then, just for good measure, consider that it also has Bray Inheritance, which is probably unnecessary considering how fast we get our abilities back, but it works like a mini Wellspring and works on damage only, not kills.
Finally, thinking about how easy it is to additionally buff the damage for Arc weapons, in particular, I'm totally sold on this being the best legendary sword in the game. Think of using this with Mask of Bakris on Hunter, for example.
I'm not much of a sword user for endgame, but this one may just make me change my tune. Stapling it into my inventory and waving goodbye to most of my other Chain Reaction swords.
This blade truly rose to prominence in the wake of the reprise of Crota's End, when it properly became public knowledge that this thing has higher impact than all its contemporaries. As a result, a fierce debate sprang up between this and Falling Guillotine as the best legendary sword to use (with Lament obviously being the best overall if you have the Exotic slot for it - which you should). Personally, I think its just really good, and its ultimately personal preference. If that smidge of DPS difference was going to decide the fight... well, then the problem probably wasn't your DPS setup, most likely.
This thing has... a LOT of options. Relentless + Surrounded is the most popular, with the latter being the strongest damage perk on this weapon offering a staggering 41.75% damage increase when enhanced - so long as you can keep it procced, that is. Tireless and Assassins Blade are the next most popular perks, allowing their users to clear adds while zooming at full speed. The usual slate of Sword perks is also here, with the major standout to me being Chain Reaction in column 4 for Ad Clear. Unless you're after the raw power everyone has been raving about, just pick what you want - there aren't many combos that will strictly steer you wrong. But if you want POWER... well, you know what to do.
This flawlessly crafted Katana possessed of both style and substance - much like the rest of the Deep Stone Crypt reprises - is proof that for all Clovis 'Piece of Shit' Bray the First is a total dick... he sure knows what hes doing. You know, if the Deep Stone Crypt, Rasputin, the ENTIRE EXO RACE, and all the other Braytech stuff didn't already convince you...
got relentless / surrounded.
highest damage weapon per hit, by far the best sword in pve, can melt a boss faster than guillotine with lucent.
In PvP, just roll with Black Talon if you're running a sword for anything other than 3 peeking. But Thresh + Assassin's Blade would probably be best for it.
it is also usable in pvp, however falling guillotine outclasses him in pvp
To obtain it, you need to complete'st deep stone crypt raid
Basically Stryker’s 2.0.
Awesome but useless.
