This sword has higher impact than any other sword. After masterworking with jagged edge it's the highest damage per hit!
As sad as it is you cant roll en garde and assassins blade on the same sword like you could with the old black armory swords, this still has good rolls...
I want thresh or tireless with assassins blade.

Criminally slept on for PVE, imo.
Start with the stats - best in class impact and charge time. Compared to Half Truths, it's a monster.
Then consider the ammo economy with Tireless Blade (enhanced gives the chance for even ADDITIONAL ammo refunds), or Relentless Strikes for boss DPS.
Next, stick Chain Reaction on there, which seems to proc Tireless Blade, so you can get 3-4 ammo from a single swing. It literally generates ammo. Or if you went Relentless Strikes, you could use One-For-All or Surrounded, which has one of the highest damage increases in the game.
And then, just for good measure, consider that it also has Bray Inheritance, which is probably unnecessary considering how fast we get our abilities back, but it works like a mini Wellspring and works on damage only, not kills.
Finally, thinking about how easy it is to additionally buff the damage for Arc weapons, in particular, I'm totally sold on this being the best legendary sword in the game. Think of using this with Mask of Bakris on Hunter, for example.
I'm not much of a sword user for endgame, but this one may just make me change my tune. Stapling it into my inventory and waving goodbye to most of my other Chain Reaction swords.

In case it wasn't already blindingly obvious that Clovis 'Utter Bastard' Bray the First really loved his wife, its that the sword with her name etched into it is the best dang Adaptive sword in the game.

This blade truly rose to prominence in the wake of the reprise of Crota's End, when it properly became public knowledge that this thing has higher impact than all its contemporaries. As a result, a fierce debate sprang up between this and Falling Guillotine as the best legendary sword to use (with Lament obviously being the best overall if you have the Exotic slot for it - which you should). Personally, I think its just really good, and its ultimately personal preference. If that smidge of DPS difference was going to decide the fight... well, then the problem probably wasn't your DPS setup, most likely.

This thing has... a LOT of options. Relentless + Surrounded is the most popular, with the latter being the strongest damage perk on this weapon offering a staggering 41.75% damage increase when enhanced - so long as you can keep it procced, that is. Tireless and Assassins Blade are the next most popular perks, allowing their users to clear adds while zooming at full speed. The usual slate of Sword perks is also here, with the major standout to me being Chain Reaction in column 4 for Ad Clear. Unless you're after the raw power everyone has been raving about, just pick what you want - there aren't many combos that will strictly steer you wrong. But if you want POWER... well, you know what to do.

This flawlessly crafted Katana possessed of both style and substance - much like the rest of the Deep Stone Crypt reprises - is proof that for all Clovis 'Piece of Shit' Bray the First is a total dick... he sure knows what hes doing. You know, if the Deep Stone Crypt, Rasputin, the ENTIRE EXO RACE, and all the other Braytech stuff didn't already convince you...

Each impact adds 0,9265% damage, the +10 impact does 9,265% more damage than 68 impact swords, and you can combo it together with boss spec and surrounded to get much higher damage numbers, i crafted one with vorpal weapon because there are bosses that i can't apply surrounded and gillotine will only surpass a bequest with vorpal after 7 hits, and in that time bequest has already done too much base damage to the enemy that gillotine had to stack, but go with surrounded, with it you can out dps all other swords except lament, i tested it, lament just deals too much damage, also the back of bequest glows when you have a full shield energy bar

If you considered crafting a Half-Truths with Chain Reaction, congratulations! As of season 19, Bequest also has Chain Reaction, along with better base stats. I'd recommend Relentless Strikes, Tireless Blade or Duelist's Trance in the third column, and Chain Reaction, Surrounded or Vorpal Weapon in the fourth column. Blade and Guard are up to preference.

Has always been a hidden gem by always having 10 more impact than any other sword in the game, but now that Crota is a heavily sword focused boss, people are realizing how powerful it can actually be. Surrounded is an insanely large damage boost that doesn't need any kills to activate, paired with relentess strikes and keep on swinging at bosses to deal sword DPS rivaling the previously uncontested Lament. Get one.

Got a god roll surrounded, relentless strikes, balanced guard, hungry edge roll... Best sounding, looking, and highest damage sword, it's amazing. The look, like all deep stone crypt weapons, is just so intriguing and satisfying to look at. My new favorite legendary sword, not to mention it's amazing swing sound and over all katana look.

Does ~10% more damage than other adaptive swords, as well as having generally better guard stats. Plus, it looks freakin' sick. Keep an eye on this sword with the coming Whirlwind Blade nerf. I don't think the curated roll is actually obtainable.

spent 240 spoils on it.
got relentless / surrounded.
highest damage weapon per hit, by far the best sword in pve, can melt a boss faster than guillotine with lucent.

Jagged Edge, Swordmaster's Guard, Thresh and Assassin's Blade definitely feels fun as hell to use. It also hits like a truck.

Yet to try this in pvp but tireless blade + surrounded with spec is doing well for me so far, teaming this with that mask of bakris arc damage increase changed a light attack on a goblin from 25k to 35k, great for fast major kills!

Thresh/surrounded or Thresh/Assassin's blade seem like the goto for this, fancy looking arc sword

Sucks that it can’t roll with Whirlwind Blade. En Garde or Assassin’s Blade are your best bets here for damage unless you have a Surrounded Spec, then Surrounded is decent too.

Throne-cleaver's high impact with Falling Guillotine's fast swing speed, meanwhile its guard stats are higher than any other sword, this sword is good against majors.

Could be good for PvE Thanks to its higher than average impact and relentless strikes. A lack of Whirlwind Blade makes its overall damage probably worse than a god roll Falling Guillotine. Rolling with Thresh is pretty nice, though.

In PvP, just roll with Black Talon if you're running a sword for anything other than 3 peeking. But Thresh + Assassin's Blade would probably be best for it.

It has abnormally large impact, making it a truthfully good choice for pve
it is also usable in pvp, however falling guillotine outclasses him in pvp
To obtain it, you need to complete'st deep stone crypt raid

Kinda wish Thresh was in the 2nd perk slot rather than 1st... Would've been Tireless Blade and Thresh for a PvE ad clear roll

With the changes that came to swords in S22, Bequest jumped up to one of the top DPS weapons in the game, and definitely the best legendary sword. It’s still beat out by Lament, but is not exotic and requires no additional work to maximize DPS. Worth using in any sword DPS situation.

Lament is just better, I guess if you need the exotic slot elsewhere but that's throwing dps and the raid.

Thresh + Assassin's blade sounds like a really good option for PvP. Other than that this looks like a regular sword. Flash counter I don't remember seeing before tho so I'll have to wait and see how useful that will be.
