Awesome sniper, I got it with arrowhead break, flared magwell, reload mw, lead from gold and vorpal weapon which along with boss spec will chunk bosses. I really recommend magwell over an ext mag perk bc of small mag size. Arrowhead break will achieve max recoil leaving the mod slot open for boss spec. Overall I couldn't be happier with this roll, lead from gold is awesome for bypassing the pesky ammo penalty when one weapon too much.

This is the "new Whisper". Appended Mag/Triple Tap/Vorpal with Backup Mag slotted, you can shoot 7 bullets before reloading. Melts bosses. For PvP it's nothing special, your classic case of 72rpm sniper.

Decent for PvE if you don't have anything else. For PvP, its got a bit too much zoom for me and it feels like im running around with a coffee maker taped to a stick. Just use beloved.

Awesome PVE weapon for dealing alot of damage to the boss, if you can land all the shots in the head. In PVP however this weapon assigned into middle ground - you can make it work in Crucible, but dont except something gamebreaking\out of this world
Preferable Roll(PVE) - Triple Tap+Vorpal with Fluted barrel, Appended Mag and reload MW.

If you are without a fireteam this weapon is going to give you the most damage a legendary sniper rifle can do as long as you have the vorpal weapon perk. With a roll that gives you an extra shot from magazine perks plus triple tap you can add an additional shot in with backup mag to effectively get seven shots. Without this combination you can just use boss spec or major spec since some majors still count as bosses which Bungie would do well to clarify instead of being inconsistent.

Triple tap and vorpal is a good combination when you aren't communicating with teammates to activate firing line on other snipers.
Overall a great boss damage weapon for when you are solo but not the best when you have a team.
On PvP it shoots bullets, kill enemies handles like a boat 1 star, nothing special.

the roll i have is arrowhead brake, appended mag and tac mag, triple tap, vorpal weapon, reload master work. i have done MANY damage tests comparing this sniper compared to most meta snipers and this sniper is bar none the best sniper in the game in terms of solo play for bosses or if you are into doing raid low mans it does the most dps AND the most over all damage of any sniper (except exotics) really happy with this sniper it is incredibly under rated and worth grinding for a good roll

My go-to PVE Sniper. Rolled with Handling MW, Triple Tap and Vorpal Weapon. Bosses don't hold you up for very long with this bad boy in hand with a Boss spec.

Triple tap + mag perk + backup mag gives a 5-round mag, which lets you tap the enemy 7 times if you hit all crits. Excellent boss damage when combined with vorpal weapon

I got a perfect one with fluted, tactical (4 mag with no downsides and some extra stats, without using backup mag so I can use boss spec) triple tap (one more bullet) and vorpal weapon (mega dps against bosses)

Pvp, I've tried a snapshot, and it the scope and the way it shoots is weird, so I'll have to get used to it

Aww man I really want an aggro frame sniper with disruption break, but the only one is sunset? that's bull. it seems like the other guys really liked triple tap vorpal for pve, but damn does a disruption break sniper seem like an interesting idea for a wacky goofy pvp build.

Sick gun, scope looks dope and has a short zoom. It will hopefully be good dps with the right perks.

Throw a boss spec on it if you have vorpal weapon and it's pretty decent dps. As far as pvp, I have a roll with snapshot and a handling masterwork and while there's definitely better options (rapid snipers) this one will do more damage to supers especially if you have vorpal weapon making it easier to snipe and follow up instead of relying on a headshot.

Get yourself a roll of Lead from gold with vorpal weapon for the best sniper you could ask for in solo planetary activities such as lost sectors or public events

Fun PVE boss killer.

Get yourself a tactical mag (all mag perks will get you 4 mags so tactical is the way to go), triple tap, and vorpal weapon with boss spec. Deals more damage per hit than Whisper without box breathing (catalyst) to bosses.

For barrel and MW can be anything really, but you won't need range for PVE, tested in tribute hall and doesn't get damage fall off from anywhere possible.

My best PvE roll is Smallbore/Extended Mag/Triple Tap/Vorpal Weapon, Handling MW. This thing holds its own with DPS, and Vorpal Weapon is a very welcome new perk with it's unconditional damage buff versus Bosses. In PvP, it's fairly mediocre. Best PvP roll was Smallbore/Accurized/Genesis/Snapshot, Handling MW. It's serviceable in PvP; but I wouldn't recommend it over Beloved, Revoker, Twilight Oath, and other popular snipers that are found within the Crucible.

Lets see: Aggressive sniper+ex mag+tt+ammo mod have 9875 dps +15% from vorpal=11 356. Sole survivor(adaptive)+ex mag+fttc+ammo mod have 11,929+25% from firing line=14 911

A great sniper in feel. Looks and sounds great, and also uniquely uses the VEIST side-magazine reload animation on an aggressive frame sniper.

I grinded out to get Triple Tap and Vorpal Weapon, which makes it overall a solid sniper, with an increase to boss damage that puts it a cut above other aggressive snipers in PVE, with absolutely no special conditions for some extra damage.

PIcked up Arrowhead, extended mag, pulse monitor, and vorpal weapon and threw boss spec on it. It hits only 100 dmg less than my Non catalyst whisper on a precision hit. I find myself hauling it when I want to carry my spike nade launcher. Maybe my mind will change when I get the whisper catalyst done.

My roll came with arrowhead>hammerforged, appended mag, pulsemonitor, snapshot and MW handling. 10/10 Would snipe again. I put targeting on it with my enhanced target helmet it has decent AA not the stickiness I'm used to with a revoker or beloved but have still pulled off all kinds of shots.
