Precision hits build up Dynamic Charge. Swapping to Arc Seeker mode increases damage and partially reloads the magazine based on the number of charges.

Please give the alt fire Jolt at max stacks. It's actually a crime that it doesn't already do this

This thing is crazy. In PvE once you have Revolution x15 it shreds everything. In Gambit it is basically the Jotunn of primary weapons. And I don't even want to talk about Crucible.

This weapon seriously need a rework, one simple change they could add is Voltshot, with that Symmetry would be meta right now, and symmetry perk should last 10 seconds more also.

Got Revolution x7 in Crucible. Disintegrated 2 people with 2 shots. 105 on each shot. An absolute must buy. (Oh yeah I don't know why its a scout rifle, it may as well be an auto)

Alright, I love this gun in both PVE and PVP, probably one of my top five favourite exotics. But I want to put extra emphasis on this thing in gambit. The Symmetry shoots nuclear missiles in gambit. Get revolution x10-x15 off of trash mobs, go invade, and enjoy getting a 3-4 kill feed almost every single time. I've been using this thing since beyond light in gambit so I doubt it'll change anytime soon.

In pure PVE it can be a little underwhelming compared to other exotics, but it still is great at cleaning up red bars. I think this one is a must get more for how fun it is to use rather than how overpowered it is (except gambit).

As a regular scout the thing handles really well. revolution x15 is the highest you can stack in pve or pvp. revolution x7 will two body any guardian in the crucible. stack to x15 in pve to have the ability to shred any major rank enemy.

The scout in PVP is good without revolution. Activating it with 6 or 7 stacks makes it two-tap, plus you get tracking. Good in PVE too for killing trash adds to stack up revolution and then kill stronger enemies with revolution.Very good gun overall.

It's really good with the hidden Unstoppable and the 15x stacks that can 2 tap anybody in crucible (although you only need like 7)

Good gun if you know how to use it. Stack a ton of Revolution and then go into tracking mode for huge damage. Good for both modes and a fun refresher from using the same meta weapons over and over

Got it around when Arc 3.0 came out, maybe a bit before. Barely any synergy there, and it's taken months to get the catalyst quest done, but I still like it. Firing sound isn't my thing, magazine almost feels a bit small (but balance, I totes get it), all of that would make for a damn good weapon - If it didn't take 3 seconds to reload. 15 reload on any weapon is a pain, but a *scout*? I love this thing, but goddamn it can be annoying to get two scout loader mods forced on at all times. Quicker reload and give it some arc 3.0-ability, and it's a solid arc exotic, despite fierce competition. May Lightfall buff this thing. <3

I tested damage of the perk in the dreaming city against redbars.(damage is rounded up slightly by a maximum of 20 points to get clean numbers)
0 stacks: 5500 damage
1 stacks: 7150 damage
5 stacks: 13750 damage
10 stacks: 22000 damage
15 stacks: 30250 damage
20 stacks: 38500 damage
n stacks: 5500+1650×n damage
So the base damage is 5500 with each stack adding 1650 damage up to a maximum of 20 stacks (38500 total damage)
Scaling in pvp works differently

Very underrated weapon. Elite tier stats for a rapid fire scout rifle, and the exotic perk outputs special weapon tier damage in a large aoe with everyshot at 20x. In pvp its very easy to get the 6-7 stacks needed to two shot people at which point it dominates. Pairs really well with explosive wellmaker and well of life for non-stop healing as well.

Not a crazy meta weapon, but definitely very viable in both modes and a great refresh from the meta

Nobody has used this since it came out. But it's a PvP machine with some practice and a fun leap away from current metas.

It’s a scout rifle, and of course there are better exotics to use, but this is a fun weapon to use on bigger maps. Where this really shines is Gambit. Stack up Revolution charges, invade, and let the seeker rounds do the work. Easy Army of Ones without needing to waste heavy ammo.

Two tap tracking primary need I say more. This thing is so good in crucible as long as you can hit your shots. The only downside is that I’ve seen glaciers move faster than this things reload speed without caty.

Brilliant weapon. Wanted to get the catalyst and fell in love with the weapon along the way. It's base firing mode doesn't deal a staggering amount of damage, but it's incredibly consistent.

Revolution x10 all the way up to x20 melts almost anything in PvE. In PvP, Revolution is great, but the gun isn't good enough to give up your energy slot nor your exotic slot.

did you know on the upcoming game Exodus, being worked on by ex Bioware and Bungie devs, there's a Celestial weapon called the Icarus Slayer that has been heavily inspired from the Symmetry scout rifle. [both weapons are referred to as "Dualities is not a curse, but a gift." in their lore entries]

I love how the weapon sounds especially the alt firing mode on max charges, it feels like a handheld compact energy cannon, I just wished the revolution damage boost lasted longer and easier to build up dynamic charges, considering it has such a low reload speed, there needs to be something to make up for it.

Have mixed feelings about this gun. Used to be a part of my main exotics for PvE but now I just see it as fairly mediocre especially when you consider it's underwhelming catalyst,

Maybe I'm crazy but I haven't seen anything about this gun having an Unstoppable capability but it seems to have it in its Arc Seeker form. I love this gun.

To make this weapon a little better all Bungie would have to do is buff it’s Range stat. Sitting at a measly 37 range makes it hard to consistently land precision hits on enemies since range is tied directly to accuracy. Buffing it by 20 would 100% help. Also, maybe give it a tiny bit more reload, 24 is painfully slow.

Sadly it no longer has unstopable rounds so you cant get that amazing combo of using Tenderizer with it. Catalyst adds 5 more stacks to it for 20 stacks and brings it up a extra 30% from 15 stacks. It's still good in PVE/PVP/Gambit though. Just sad they took away unstopable.

This weapon is a toy, that doesn't mean I don't like it. Symmety is one of my favorite scout rifle in Destiny 2. However, in PVE, sometimes you just can't stack up all the Dynamic Charges. If you have 15 or 20 Dynamic Chrages, you can sweep the battlefield for now. But I'm sure a well-rolled shot gun can also do the trick. Especially during Raid or high level Sunset.
