TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks

It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.

Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.

TIP: Popularity Ranks

The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

PvE: Its decent here. Season 11 artifact mods give pulses a place in PvE, but Jian 7 outclasses it with better PvE perks like Grave Robber + Swash or Disruption Break + Dragonfly

PvP: My main weapon this season. Have over 1000 defeats with it so far. Super stable and easy to use. The archetype is very beginner friendly as well with its easy optimal TTK. My roll is SPO 57 + Steady Rounds + Rangefinder + Zen Moment.

Most consistant Pulse Ive ever used

One of my favourate pulses in energy slot, Personally I like SPO26 and SPO57 more, idk why most people prefer SRO scopes but that's down to prefrence, out law, kill clip, 41 per crit after kc active, what could go wrong?

Max range roll has 52m of range and also gets kill clip. There are no excuses for this thing.

Very good pulse. Excellent with something like chaperone. I have range finder kill clip. Maps at long ranges

Adaptive Frame pulses are so satisfying to use, and Outlaw + Kill Clip keeps your damage up in harder PvE content where you're not likely to stack Rampage (obviously great in PvP, too). It's a hard combination to find these days (RIP Bygones), and unfortunately, you're at the mercy of some unfriendly RNG here (a large perk pool and a few truly terrible scopes), but if you do find the roll it's a top tier pulse IMO.

I kept a Rangefinder/ Kill Clip roll.
Safe to say Volatile Rounds with Falcon Exotic I have become a degenerate to society. I have ascended to planes of Comfort away from what we call the "immortal" and spray them down from 40+ meters away

in pve it is very solid but nothing special

in pvp it is great, especially on console, one of my favorite guns that isn't an exotic. pair it with a chaperone or a decent sidearm and you will do great.

This thing has some absurd range with certain rolls. I have a Killclip/Rangefinder/Accurized rounds/SP0-57 roll. So 21 zoom before taking Rangefinder into account combined with 70 range makes for a very lengthy damage falloff distance. A bit too zoomy for PVP for my taste but there's other scopes for that. Kill clip is my favorite damage perk on pulse rifles.

Awesome, slept-on weapon on console for players who aren’t amazing with HCs, which I’m not. Adaptive pulses just feel great and compete in the meta, while not defining it which lands The Last Perdition in a really sweet spot because most HC users can’t stand up to a decent pulse users. The great ones will always body you, the rest will get melted.

Very good PvP pulse, one of my favorites. I run the usual Outlaw, Kill Clip with stability perks and a stability MW and it just shreds, very consistent 3 tap w/o kill clip and it just gets better as you get kills. Fun in PvE and can be effective for low level activities but I wouldn't take it into higher level nightfalls/ raids over anything that has better PvP perks.

Ah, the old classic. Not matter what, this weapon's sturdy enough to get you anywhere, usually to proper meta weapons.

Not my favourite pulse rifle to kill with, but it gets the job done. Does pretty well in PvE with this seasons artifact mods, amazing roles you can get on the weapon too. -- Not a fan of using this in PvP but I can understand why some people would run it.

Rolled a spo 57 front, steady rounds, rangefinder, snapshot sights and stability MW, with a counter balance stock mod this thing has the perfect balance of range and low recoil, shreds in PvP, still my fav pulse. PvE it's a bit weaker but can still make quick work of small enemies with outlaw + kill clip or rampage

The Last Perdition is a pulse rifle I think that a large portion of the D2 community is sleeping on. In regards to PvE, a roll of Moving Target and Rampage or Full Auto Trigger System makes it quite nice at dismantling shielded enemies. For PvP, a roll like Outlaw Kill Clip makes this weapon easily hold a lane and, in a few cases, compete with sniper and scout rifles. A roll I have is Outlaw Snapshot Sights with a handling MW, and it works quite well when I need to be aggressive.

Basically an energy bygones, enough said. This thing is a monster, farm for it from the empyrean foundation while you can. I don't wanna use it in pve so don't judge for that.

This thing is beastly. Got one with Snapshot and Rangefinder, feels more like a Scout w/burst fire and I love it. Haven’t tested it in the Crucible just yet but I’m confident this thing will slap since it sights in like like lightning and is both highly accurate and super stable. Only thing that makes me sad about it is that it can’t roll with Demolitionist.

Great gun, good at everything but not the absolute best. I got one with Outlaw + Fullauto trigger, just an all around good gun.

Great all-around workhorse. Good in PvP if you're a fan of Pulses, and the Rampage makes it worth it in PvE

A while ago now, Shaxx used to sell a version with SPO57, Accurised Rounds, Rangefinder, Rampage and a range MW. I’ve had a ton of them but none have rolled for me with this much range (the range stat bar looks like it’s for a Go Figure) and with Rampage Spec this is still my favourite roll. I love the look, sound and feel so much more than Bygones. I can’t do fractions of stars but it’s a 9.5/10 for me in PVE and PVP. I wouldn’t use one in PVE without Rampage and Rampage Spec though.

It has incredible potential in pvp. Depending on the perks you can almost max out the stability and fire it like a laser beam. It can come with very high range too.

The only negative is it doesn't have high caliber rounds or explosive payload.
