However, sometimes the simplest option is still a viable one, and I think I can confidently say Niflheim Frost is that. The presence of Full Bore (my beloved and mine alone) gives it better Range than most Year 1 Primaries, and one can supplement this a little with Opening Shot... but this gun's here because it has Kill Clip and the long lost Drop Mag, an absolutely riotous combination that makes me *loathe* that Bungie STILL haven't reintroduced Drop Mag on ANY weapons in the last two Years. Drop Mag is an incredibly powerful magazine part, slightly shrinking the magazine in exchange for a *massive* Reload boost, adding +30 to the base stat then giving it a permanent 10% final boost on top of that. For reference, Alloy Mag gives a +15% boost when the magazine is fully empty, while Outlaw gives +70 base then a +10% bonus... but Drop Mag is PERMANENTLY active. It's incredible, it feels SO good, especially on weapons you reload often for one reason or another, because, say... they have Kill Clip on them!
It's a good gun, I don't know what to say. Powercrept, true, but if you're going to be one of those people (you know, like me) and pull a few Year 1 weapons to start using again in a week, but still want to avoid ones that feel like crap... here. Here's one. Use it. It'll be fun, I promise! Mostly for PvP, but it's okay in PvE if you really want to do that. It also helps that it looks great.
