The only reason to use this is to feel like you're back on december 2012 playing tf2 double dunking on peolpe with your loose cannon as your mom is cooking you some hot pockets while Imagine Dragons -Radioactive is playing on your computer at full volume

I’m crying right now. You described my exact experience with Tf2 but in 2016. I was listening to my favorite song, and just playing medic, ubering my heavy so he could defend the objective, and laughing as he landed a critical hit on their sniper from a stupid distance. Please Valve, just come back to tf2.

This GL just falls into the trap of trying to be an ad clear heavy. Even disregarding the fact it's disabled because of the bug effecting most heavy GLs it's just not that great of a pursuit weapon. For PvE it doesn't have spike grenades that would make it a somewhat decent contender for dps and you don't need a heavy weapon like this for ad clear, machine guns fill that gap way more effectively with way more ammo and clear potential especially with Fixed Odds being in the game with Incandescent. For PvP it doesn't have very high velocity or any really PvP centric perks that help GLs like proximity grenades or even something like quickdraw. Simply put GLs are in a bad spot regardless and this weapon is just outclassed by other GLs like Interference and Typhon. Its a shame really, this weapon looks and sounds amazing, it even shoots little cannon balls, but it's just not great.

Heavy GLs are just not in a good place, even after a 10% buff. They run out of ammo in 2 mags because Bungie can’t decide if they should be sustained or burst damage. It really says something about the weapon type if a bugged 250% buff is needed to make them good. Vorpal is only 10%, and incandescent is great but GLs don’t have enough ammo for them to be useful add clear.
I love them in PvP, but without proxy nades it’s not worth it over better options.
The gun looks awesome, but it’s just not good.

Review from a PvE only gamer here, take what I say with a pinch of salt

Bro honestly? Solar Warlocks are gonna love this thing. Get that Roy Mustang build (melee go brrrrrr), pop Heat Rises and you're effectively a high damage bomber plane shooting canonballs, my gamer.
Not sure how useful it is in higher level activities, but it's DUMMY fun in casual PvE. Love this damn thing.
If I had to give it one downside? I would personally say it's RPM is every so slightly too low and the weapon takes up a bit too much of the screen. Besides that? Hella fun. I recommend getting it.

Decent in PvE but still easily outclassed by so many other heavies. Should of had spike grenades.
Absolutely awful in PvP. Barely even tickles enemies.

tons of fun against lower-power bosses if you have a build that'll make demo work for the quick reloads - i enjoy taking it into dungeons with solar. not a bad 'yeah sure whatever' power wep in pvp if you feel like blasting some scurvy dogs to naught but flotsam, though there are absolutely more sensible choices for a pvp hgl. maybe i just find more joy than others in hucking massive cannonballs at my enemies. avast!

For PvP it is somewhat alright. It kills quite easily in Crucible (granted that you land somewhat direct hits) and Gambit but falls off in damage against stronger targets and the boss. The low damage is present in PvE as it is quite disappointing in terms of area of effect and damage.

what's up with the low rating? this is a very solid PvE GL power weapon, my go-to choice for general activity if I need to use a GL

It's a nice solar grenade launcher if ya a new player or a returning player and needs a heavy grenade launcher from the Kisok. go to is demo vorpal or incan vorpal. Like the others stated, its an ok Grenade launcher and be replaced easily. But with the right solar build, this can be a good weapon.

I think the combo of incandescant/vorpal weapon is a fun combo for a scorch build in PVE, other Than that I wouldn't recommend it for pop at all.
Plus, FLAMING CANNONBALL"S!!!

This is insane on a solar Titan with Ember of Char and Ember of Eruption.

But.... my god it looks massive

Idk, i think it’s a very disproportionate size. It’s too large. I’d prefer the small breech loading grenade launcher with a great personality.

Things to take note of:"
> Reskin of Blast Battue with new Plunder aesthetics
> Shoots cannonballs
> Has "Demo" and "Swash", two perks that don't work well together when both Adrenaline Junkie and the new Pugilist perks exist as their respective counterparts
> Disabled heavy GLs in the first week of release after Bungie said they'd be buffed to contend with other weapons
> Can't do proper add clear or boss DPS due to perks (more or less a Jack-of-All-Trades grenade launcher for New Lights)

Unless you like how aesthetically fitting this weapon is to a portside cannon of a ship, you're literally better off with weapons like Tarnation for adds or Typhon for bosses (just as Soar said).
Not to repeat what both Soar and Bassman stated, but they put this to better words than I did. ^^;

Edit: you'd think Incandescent on a heavy GL would be great (and you're not wrong), but why do that when there's Mixed Odds and other Primary weapons that can do it better? Again, unless you like heavy GLs, there's no need for this weapon specifically. Unless you're a pirate, in which case, good luck swashbuckers.
