Lanza Gravitatoria
"Oh, no".
"Oh, sí".
Great PVE ad-clear especially with reworked Void 3.0. Pair with Elemental Armaments and bountiful wells x2 and you're making 3 void wells spawn every 4th or 5th enemy.
It hits hard in PVP too; if you get use to the 2-burst recoil pattern you can 2-tap pretty regularly up to about 25m with the new Solar 3.0 Radiant buff. I would recommend it as a close/mid-range battler.
While it's good... Bungie please give us more exotic energy pulse rifles.
Unfathomably underrated. Functions as more of a Scout Rifle. Devastatingly synergistic with Volatile Rounds.
Forever in the shadow of Outbreak Perfected, one should not neglect the power of Graviton Lance, as ad clear is top tier for a primary Exotic. The Lance has a tendency to fling detonated targets away from the direction of fire, keep this in mind while engaging groups of ads, as striking the foremost enemy will lead to more consistent chained detonations. This is significantly less of an issue when enemies are within confined spaces, as the detonations chain very aggressively. Loses some of its shine when it comes to DPS, despite the wallop it packs. Very serviceable within the Crucible with its high damage and accuracy, but user precision is paramount. The catalyst was recently changed and now provides both Turnabout and Vorpal Weapon, in addition to the previous statistical bonuses to Range and Aim Assistance - quite the buff, particularly against rival Guardians who are channeling their Light!
Once upon a time, this could be earned as a quest reward during the Red War. Easily one of the better Exotics introduced in Destiny 2, and one that has stood the test of time.
This may be considered a follow-up to Ostro ostrO's review, as that is my old account.
TLDR: Stuff Lorentz Driver into Revision Zero. You now have Graviton Lance.
PvE performance is unchanged and Graviton Lance remains a steadfast option when a specialized Exotic is not mandated.
PvP performance has drastically changed as Graviton Lance now stands at the forefront of the meta; every dog has it's day and Graviton's has finally come. The burst delay was reduced by 20% to put Graviton Lance in line with Revision Zero when the Häkke Heavy Rounds are selected. The damage of the burst was also redistributed, greatly increasing the damage of the first round while reducing the damage of the second round. The combination of these changes has created an hyper-lethal Pulse Rifle that has the power to peek shoot (albeit still not as well as a Hand Cannon) due to the expedited nature of the burst. The Void detonations are unchanged, but were already fatal to begin with and will aggressively track to nearby targets. The additional Range and Aim Assistance from the catalyst is really the cherry on top, working overtime to account for any user error.
Look, this thing has been my favorite Exotic since the Red War so I am elated to see Graviton get the love it deserves, but it is probably over-tuned at this juncture.
KA-CHOINK/10 would fling again.
It's also surprisingly viable in PvP, particularly Gambit, where it functions as a jack of all trades gun. You can clear add packs to gather motes quickly, defend yourself against invaders when you're out of heavy ammo, and DPS blockers as you close in to use your kinetic special (Wastelander M5 in my case) - all at the same time. Pair it with a good power weapon like Palmyra-B or Falling Guillotine and you've got a great all-around setup for running Void in both PvP and PvE.
Is it the most meta choice for an exotic slot? Not always. But is it surprisingly fun and effective, especially with Void 3.0? Heck yes. The fact that I'm still using it after 4 years of playing this game proves that easily.
Nobody?
It also has great hip fire for some reason.
In PvE, it feels okay? I guess. But it's hard to recommend this when there are other guns like Conditional Finality, Leviathan's Breath, and Wavesplitter. Not that it's bad, but there are more fun options. Volatile rounds fill the gap for fun big explosions for me with the convenience of a legendary weapon.
Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience in Gambit, my PvP activity of choice. Other teammates often scooped up my kills, stopping the explosions from being effective.
Recking in PvP right now, maybe a bit too good at 324 rpm. Might change when reverting back to 300
