Good lord this thing is CHUNKY. The model is thicc, the sound is thicc, the damage in PVE & PVP is thicc. I pulled a Rapid Hit + Desperate Measures roll - and though the new Chaos Reshaped perk is undoubtably better - DM on this hits like a truck in both PVE and PVP. Lots of good perk combinations to look for, I am looking for a Heal Clip/Demolitionist + Incandescent roll for my Dawn Chorus build.

this thing is goated, rapid hit incandescent is the only decent roll i have so far and it shreds ads but firefly incandescent is the true add clear roll

something like rapid hit chaos reshaped will be good for stuff like gms where the aoe from firefly and incandescent won't matter much

Just here to bring up unique combinations that I feel are relevant in the current sandbox. In the case with the Nullify the one roll I found very useful has been Under Over + Incandescent. Under Over is just amazing right now as not only is it Anti Barrier pulse but all the Lucent Moth giving shields. Incandescent should also be getting that extra damage on shielded enemies. The only other weapons that can roll this combo is the Heavy MG Avalanche as well as the special weapon Compass Rose. Nullify is the first and only primary weapon to get this combination and with it being a heavy burst pulse, I believe it out damages other pulses (need more clarification on this).

Definitely worth keeping or crafting imo though not anywhere near the "God roll" that this weapon can get but unique enough to keep in mind and try out.

Very flexible build options here focusing on great add clear with incandescent. You can lean into more add clear with Subsistence/Firefly/Rapid Hit, or supplement a grenade spam build with Demo procs off Incandescent kills. If you're not a fan of Incandescent, Desperate Measures and Adrenaline Junkie are here for you too.

Personal roll is Demo+Incandescent.

The real reason I'm leaving a review is to talk about the minor perks. At base, its 36 stability and 73 Recoil makes the sight kick too much for my liking. After some experimenting, Chambered Compensator + Flared Magwell/Tactical Mag + Counterbalance Stock + Stability masterwork will leave you at 61 Stability at 98 Recoil. This leaves it with an extremely manageable kick while maintaining the vertical recoil that you'd get from using just Arrowhead Brake. Makes it very comfortable to use when going between/maintaining targets at the mid to longer ranges of a pulse. Extra bonus on the reload speed from Flared or Tactical mags.

It's like a legendary version of Graviton Lance. Fun to use, sounds great, looks a little weird, but is a great weapon.
Firefly + Chaos Reshaped is absolutely busted, and lets you one-burst almost every red bar enemy and explode everything around it.

So, to start with: I've completed Salvation's Edge once. Just once. In that run, plus the Excision afterward, I got a total of 5 rolls of this gun: Firefly/Adrenaline Junkie, Heal Clip/Indandescent, Heal Clip/Chaos Reshaped, Fourth Times/Incandescent, and UnderOver/Desperate Measures. Here's what I found in my time with the gun.

PVE: Great, absolutely fantastic. It's a little weird feeling like you get fewer shots, since the bursts are two instead of three, and the mag size is so much lower as a result. However, the damage it outputs is quite competitive, letting you shred through enemies about as quickly (maybe a touch faster?) than a Rapid Fire frame (which is one of the better PVE options for a pulse). Things died way more quickly than what I was expecting. It's a little jarring to adjust to having to lay into the trigger quite so frequently, but if you're a Graviton Lance oldhead, it's like slipping into a different color of your favorite pair of shoes. It kicks FAR less than the Lance, and has a really nice, manageable recoil that I barely noticed on my most used roll (though that did have Extended Barrel to bring it to 83). Firefly was really nice, giving it some AOE and the quicker reload, BUT I was mostly using this in the raid during contest mode, and I swear to god those little flying guys are the MOST annoying things I've ever seen when it comes to trying to hit a moving target. I didn't like Adrenaline Junkie here that much, but I could see it being very effective with Demolitionist. Fourth Times was pretty bad, as expected, so once I lucked into Heal Clip/Incandescent, I never looked back. This is a great roll, and I've been using it in everything to replace my Luna's Howl if I need either anti-barrier or a longer range weapon. Really, really nice. I have not played around with the new raid perk, Chaos Reshaped, very much, though my understanding is that it's similar to Frenzy, but with two stacks that max out at ~24 seconds or so. This is a long period of time to be in combat for a damage boost alone, but it also gives a small heal. The 35% damage increase at 2 stacks is really, really nice, but I'd honestly prefer the extra reload speed from Frenzy, not gonna lie. This might be the pairing perk if you want to use Firefly. Otherwise, you're probably looking at Demo/Junkie or Heal Clip/Incand.

PVP: This was really, really unfun to use. Had to catch everyone by surprise in order to win my ones, because it's so easy for hand cannons, autos, other pulses, even some scouts, to eat you alive before you can get that third burst off.

tldr this gun feels like it was made for PVE, where it really thrives, especially when combined and playing into the solar kit

EDIT: I burned two harmonizers on this, and have been messing around with perks. Chaos Reshaped takes forever to kick in, which I don't mind so much on Frenzy. However, it seems like (and please, correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't proc while the weapon is stowed, and appears to wear off more quickly than Frenzy (I didn't stare at it to time out the buff, but I noticed it dropping off while I was still in combat during a level 4 Overthrow against a tormentor). If this isn't the case, Chaos Reshaped could be an interesting GM pick, paired with Rapid Hit. Right now, I'm enjoying Firefly/Incandescent, though it's highly likely I'll swap to Heal Clip due to extra survivability + Benevolence.

This thing has so many good options. Firefly/Incandescent is popular and extremely funny. Heal clip is also a popular trait to slot in, and when paired with Chaos Reshaped you'll do some heavy damage alongside extra passive healing. If you're playing in a group activity, Firefly/Heal Clip alongside Incandescent is probably the safest choice, but I've found that when playing solo having Heal Clip and Chaos Reshaped is just an outright better version of Red Death Reformed, without taking up your exotic slot. Chaos Reshaped takes a long time to really wind up, but solo play often results in long periods of constant attention from enemies that isn't split among allies anyway. Having a gun that can deal big chunks of damage alongside active and passive healing can be extremely helpful. Easily my new favorite pulse rifle

This is the best in slot solar pulse rifle for PvE in my opinion. Firefly + Chaos Reshaped turn this gun into a monster in end game content. I also have a second roll with Firefly + Incandescent which is so much fun to use as well. It looks really cool and sounds absolutely incredible when firing it too.

Heal Clip + Chaos Reshaped/Incandescent is also another roll worthy of being crafted.

Nullify is a good pulse rifle I can say this with confidence.

This weapon when I used it, Reminded me of its older void brother graviton but the two are different and can clear ads out like mad and this has anti champ capabilities but I don't see those coming up much. This weapon works well the solar kit because under the right circumstances you can trigger ignitions like a mad man I beseech thee fellow arsonists firefly incandescent. It will remind some people of the last wish bow and that's for good reason firefly procs incandescent. Trigger it in a crowd of ads and before you know it you have five counts of aggravated arson on you record.

I hear you asking "what about chaos reshaped?" Yes chaos is a good perk but the healing rarely comes into effect, the main appeal is the damage I have used it in gm settings and the thing can put out some good damage with chaos reshaped. This is a very good weapon in a number of setting.

I also tested the damage and with nullify with no damage buffs puts out 1914 per body shit and 3059 per crit on carl the cabal and compared to graviton it fell behind in both with a thousand but it's different for the rpm is nearly a 100 higher than graviton so there is less of a delay between shots but not by much because both were under six second under full auto firing.
my testing numbers are as follows Nullify 1914 body shot 3828
3059 crit=6118
Graviton 1st body 2031 second body 2714 = 4745
1st crit 3245 2nd crit 4381 =7626
Time to empty mag 5:65 nullify
Time to empty mag 5:98 Graviton
There are some things I probably not thinking of and it can't be helped because I am not a mega weapon tester I am just an average joe playing Destiny 2.

There are downsides that affect the weapon and you can agree or disagree but this need to be said.

Stability it needs a good amount of stability I'm a console player so I need a small amount of help from the weapon to be consistent this can bounce without the help the burst has some weight behind it and needs some help to control it.

This is the one of the first of the architype so it's hard to say where we'll go with it but bungie with most of the raid COOKED and added some special sauce with the raid the campaign the pale heart, the exotics I have enjoyed most of them. We need weapons like this it can have the range of graviton and the crowd clear of sunshot it's a mix of both worlds. and the solar synergy have resulted it his weapon being an incredible legendary, if you need a ranged yet good ad clear weapon here you go. will this overthrow sunshot? Absolutely not. but is it good? yes. This is what a raid weapon should feel like a power house bungie make more like this with incredibly viability.
For PvP I can't see many uses for this it's tailored to b e more of a PvE focused gun so in PVP I have tp rank it low since it doesn't; have many perks to place it into PvP but I can see some people using it for PVP. I am not one of them anyone with good enough skill s can make anything work in pvp I am not one of crucible savants.

If you can get a good raid team this is a shining highlight of the raids loot pool and a must have from this raid.
