While the flavour of the week is Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds for good reason (it truly is a great combo and the first SMG to roll with both simultaneously), might I suggest a bit of an off-meta PvE pick you should look out for, specifically if you main Gyrfalcon hunter: Attrition Orbs + Collective Action.

Gyrfalcon Hunter specifically makes both Repulsor and Destabilizing less valuable than they are for void Titan and Warlock setups because the void overshield isn't as useful when the Stylish Executioner fragment makes you invisible after killing a void debuffed target, and Gyrfalcon gives you volatile rounds when you chain invisibility which makes Destabilizing Rounds redundant. Instead, you can slot Echo of Cessation to create Void Breaches when killing volatile targets and Echo of Starvation to grant Devour on both Orb and Breach pickups. With Attrition Orbs, you're creating more orbs to proc Devour and whatever armor charge or leg armour mods you have equipped, which in turn feeds your ability loops. And with Collective Action, you're getting an easily accessible 20% damage buff with those void breaches. Add in the synergy between Nightstalker's Vanishing Step, The Title's Classy Contender origin trait, and even the Powerful Attraction mod to make orb and breach pickup easier, and you have a Hunter build that helps boost your ability uptime and makes your workhorse primary more lethal than the Repulsor + Destabilizing combo can.

As for PvP... ehhh I'm not sure why you'd use this over a crafted Ikelos considering both roll with the same optimal PvP perk combos (Dynamic Sway/Perpetual Motion/Threat Detector + Rangefinder), but Ikelos' base stats are just better across the board and it can be crafted with enhanced traits. It's far from unusable, but you're likely going to get more mileage with other SMGs, so I wouldn't chase a PvP roll.

A nice update from last tear's edition, the real question is will people use this or Age old Bond? Granted the title may edge out for its origin trait for extra ability regen. But ability uptime is not an issue for viodlocks anyway

THIS IS A VOIDLOCKS DREAM GUN. The ability to roll Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds? Sign me up. and it still maintains good PVP perks like Dynamic Sway Reduction, Perpetual Motion, Rangefinder, and Surrounded
basically FARM THIS GUN.

I know everybody's going to go absolutely feral over repulser brace. But might I interest you in attrition orbs, with echo of starvation(FREE DEVOURER ANYWHERE YOU GO NOT CLICKBAIT GONE WILD)

Collective action also might be good for the new PVP changes. Will probably be good with stasis or something

I got an Attrition Orbs/Destabilizing Rounds roll and I have used it with my Voidlock. Great utility weapon but I think AO needs a small glow-up. Orbs need to print just a little bit earlier into the magazine to make it really shine. I'll hold onto this roll in case Bungie gives the perk a once over.

I'd like orbs to drop at my feet, though I think I've seen this happen to other players recently. (I haven't used AO in a while).

yes gyrfalcons hunters who are invisible 99% of the time and can grant themselves overshield with said gyrfalcons and also naturally get destabilising rounds again from gyrfalcons. need a gun that does 2 things the exotic they are wearing already does for them
