Muerte Roja reformada

Once a weapon fueled by malice and murder, this once Kinetic Pulse Rifle has been purified in Solar Light, giving rise to its new, clean appearance... but don't worry. You can make it classically bloody again using the Rank 100 ornament.

Red Death retains its old power, further bolstered by Solars newfound Healing capabilities. Kill things to get Cure x2 and temporarily buff your reload to blistering speeds - whether healing under fire in PvE or readying for another engagement in PvP, that recovery is very useful. Reloading after a kill Cures allies too, making this a viable "Healer" weapon (in direct competition with the Support Frame Auto Rifle released this season, albeit reliant on kills for aoe recovery instead of damage for targeted recovery).

Red Deaths Exotic Trait, Inverse Relationship, turns this thing into a menace. Dealing damage makes it snappier, faster to move with, and more resistant to flinch. When at low health, its damage gets boosted (we don't yet know the specifics of this part, but its a useful benefit all the same). With or Without Inverse Relationship, Red Death feels like a laser beam, with an 86 Recoil Direction and comparatively low 49 Stability putting in some real work.

Finally, the Catalyst. While the Catalyst itself is locked behind Act II of Echoes (which is kind of understandable, need some content for later), its effect is known to us. Charge the weapon with Final Blows, and once the weapon is charged, the next kill triggers a healing burst on your location and drops a remnant that provides Restoration to allies. This gun is only going to get better at team healing, and its efficacy is only improved by your lethality.

Red Death might lack the conventional damage buffs seen in other weapons, nor the versatility offered by a crafted No Hesitation as a healing weapon, but what it does it does extremely well - it makes you not die, it makes your allies not die, and it makes the enemies die. The cross of healing is coloured Red, and its blessings ride on a crimson tide of Death. Go, and Do Harm.

Titan main here if you really want to keep people alive... Use this Precious Scars. Or Warlocks with the Speaker's mask.
Take "you will not die" to the next level.

PVP, this is a monster. Why?
If you take damage, you deal more damage.
if you deal damage, you get a combined Zen moment (flinch resist), Enlightened action (handling) and moving target (move speed).
And you get heal clip that heals you without reloading and outlaw (except it doesn't require precision kills) rolled into one after killing something.

Nothing flashy but very safe pick and an absolute insane stat monster once everything kicks in.

So, Red Death is back...... All be it with a few changes, which I will say are more than welcome.

This thing heals you after a kill, AND its boosts your reload. Not only that when you take damage its damage goes up and its handling goes up and flinch is reduced.
This thing is feeling great ran it through the campaign and it felt great to use. It's going to become a new favorite (well old really) of mine.

Can't wait till I unlock the ornament and the catalyst becomes available.

An absolute beast. I love this so much, 2x cure after every kill is insane and you get a significantly faster reload after a kill. And reloading after a kill near allies restores their health. I love red death, can't wait to get the og 100lvl ornament

As someone who plays healer Warlock I love it. It fits perfectly in my build and I can't wait to try the Catalyst whenever it becomes available!

I've been a solar titan for the last few years, so when switching to prismatic I needed to find more ways to heal myself. this has been a staple of my loadout for the whole dlc so far.

A D1 Classic brought back with new tricks. In PvE, this is a serviceable workhorse weapon because it's a pulse and it keeps you alive. In PvP, this thing feels sublime.

Not much to say about this gun aside from what is already said. It's a very straightforward exotic. This gun heals you, basically all the time. It is also easy to use its perk to heal your allies too.

I would recommend this gun to every new player who struggles to stay alive.

PvP:
I ran this post-nerf on mnk with T8 Resil and:
2x In-Flight Compensator
1x Harmonic Targeting
1x Harmonic Dexterity
3x Unflinching Harmonic Aim
2x Solar Weapon Surge

Heat Rises/Rain of Fire Warlocks — This is it. Right here. Right now. This is the gun. You can now float in the skybox at the edge of its falloff (38m) and be more of a menace than you ever were relative to other pulses. In a gunfight with tight HP margins and similar effective ranges, the cure-on-kill tips the scale in your favor; the increased handling, reduced flinch, and increased movement speed puts a whole arm on the scale. It's not even close.

This is an outstanding gun that feels amazing to shoot and is incredibly easy to track with. Can't speak for what it feels like without the mods I listed, but with those on you're all but guaranteed to win trades in any pulse/auto rifle exchange.

Inverse Relationship + Redemption are goated perks tailored to the PvP environment of TLS' sandbox, and will let you pull off 1v2s, 1v3s—even 1v4s if they're trickling—because of how this perk combination works. The nerfs from patch 8.0.0.6 are practically non-existent if you exert the slightest bit of mouse control, and its working stability/recoil feels closer to that of a trace rifle's.

PvE:
It's alright.

It's nice in niche scenarios where you have to be out in the open, taking fire constantly—plates, ledges, raid encounters—and can't move because the game wants you there at that moment. That's it, really. It's not BIS for anything more specific than a moderate amount of adds. Why waste your energy slot and exotic on this when you could just run Special/Heavy Ammo Finder and double specials, or even a No Hesitation with Physic to heal on demand?

It's pretty good if you're prone to dying from a stray shot at the worst possible times. As is the case with most PvE scenarios, you're better off with a legendary weapon tailored to your type of activity, or even another exotic in the same slot. It's still a great gun if it's all you've got, but it's also just like your parents' disapproval of a significant other—you could definitely do better than this one.
