Everyone is talking about Killing Tally but completely sleeping on Adaptive Munitions. Being a trace rifle it is able to rack up the stacks of Adaptive Munitions almost instantly, eliminating the problem that Adaptive takes so many shots before it starts being effective. This is the best universal shield popper for match game, hands down.

My personal god roll is Adaptive Munitions/Repulsor Brace. I'm having so much fun with this roll and it'll definetly be a new staple in my inventory as a monochromatic void build.

Trace rifles are my absolute favorite weapon. Adaptive is insanely good.
I have one with Unrelenting. Unrelenting with the origin trait means you are full health very often. Useful in the Sever activities when there are tons of ads

Highly recommend grinding for this Trace to the point where you can craft it!
Enhanced Lead from Gold with Enhanced Killing Tally or Repulsor Brace is my personal god roll for the weapon with either a mag increase of some sort or just more stability. LFG will make running double special even easier than it already is with Traces (because I personally use Trace Rifles as if they were my primary and in that case only run double special) and allow you to carry slightly more ammo in your mag with Enhanced Killing Tally, which obviously gets more out of Killing Tally as a whole, Killing Tally is a stacking damage buff that caps at 33% and will remain active until you reload or stow the weapon, pretty nice on a Trace Rifle.
Repulsor Brace grants you a Void Overshield when you kill enemies effected by Void Debuffs, this is really good with a decent Void setup as you can have almost permanent uptime on said Void Overshield, I've made a real nice build with this and Heartshadow on Warlock that allows me to utilize every Void buff and Debuff to their fullest, it's really fun, the Enhanced version of this is banger too.

The Trace like most others will feel phenomenal with The Mantle of Battle Harmony on Void or if you’re on Solar with the Radiant damage boost, but it’ll be great for basically any exotic matchup and for any class, it also has seasonal mods to aid it including Overload so it can useful in endgame content.
Overall a stellar Trace.

For PvP is just like the Retraced Path, good but has ammo issues… especially now more than ever. Still solid though so don’t sleep on it.

New rework to a CERTAIN EXOTIC makes this thing an absolute monster for add clear, and exceptional damage for bosses outside of heavy usage. With that, Special Finisher, Lead from Gold or Adaptive Munitions/Repulser Brace for PvE. It is the Special weapon play style dream for Legend and up Nightfalls, especially with Arbalest/LFR combo to double dip.

PvP wise, Surplus is your friend. It is one ammo economy update to becoming a problem. Do what you will. I'm on the chase now.

This gun has a ton of great stuff going for it in PVE. Killing Tally rocks, but the gun has effectively no bad perks in the 4th column, they're all great for the playstyle this gun works with. Adaptive munitions has gotten some attention in other posts, but my personal godroll pick for 3rd column has got to be Lead From Gold. Trace Rifles get excellent ammo economy from special bricks, the only problem is getting enough bricks to spawn. With exotic traces and the other legendary you have to run a trace rifle ammo finder and/or scavenger, but that comes at the cost of valuable heavy bricks, and usually just makes you better off using an exotic primary outside of niche uses like Divinity or Scorch builds. Not with this trace rifle though, put on a heavy ammo finder and it'll be pulling double duty, you won't have any ammo problems. It's now possible to use a Trace Rifle as though it were your primary weapon, without coming at any cost to heavy ammo supply. Bonus points if you have Lead From Gold on a burst DPS special in the kinetic slot, no primary ammo needed at all anymore, and your heavy ammo drop rate goes up too for running double specials, pairing this with something it's easy to dump a large % of your reserves out with like an exotic rocket launcher is a great move.

As far as PVP goes, it's a trace rifle. It outperforms a normal primary in its natural role, but at the cost of it being a nightmare to keep fed, which Lead From Gold can do nothing for in this game mode. This is very clearly not built to be a PVP weapon, but that's not much of a surprise, Trace Rifles have never been particularly competitive outside of shenanigans with Divinity/Ruinous Effigy, and of course laser tag in momentum control. Could be fun if you build around it and exploit its void element while also needing an exotic slot elsewhere, but otherwise it's not even the best legendary trace rifle for PVP.

Perfect weapon for running double special. Enhanced Lead From Gold to fix your ammo economy problems, and enhanced Repulsor Brace to give you an extra 45 hp for 12 seconds. Add in volatile rounds and the Firepower mod on your arms, you've got some of the best add-clear in the game with almost 100% uptime. You don't even need to only use it with void subclasses either, It's fantastic on Starfire warlock for when you run out of anarchy/witherhoard ammo to keep your nades coming back. People who didn't craft this when they had the chance should be experiencing serious FOMO right now.

Lead from Gold/ Killing Tally is the play here, this weapon will shred enemies with that combo, this is our only non sunset weapon that has this park. So it’s a rarity! The other perks are meh but you could play around with surplus/adaptive munitions, and swash.
Haven’t tried in PVP. But Traces aren’t made for PVP really.

Nah, it's facing the right way.
Kinetic/Stasis (non-Heavy) Left
Elemental/All Heavies Right

Unless this was posted when the icon could have been facing the wrong way, then I don't blame you for the mix-up.

I got surplus+wellspring and it's been great for void 3.0 builds since it's a void trace rifle. Abilities come back extremely quickly and the weapon feels very smooth.

Obviously adaptive munitions, killing tally, and repulsor brace are all great perks as well but this is just a god send for ability builds.

My roll dropped with Adaptive Munitions and Repulsor Brace, and honestly? It's beating the pants off any of the Exotic Trace Rifles for me this season. Snagging an overshield on cleanup kills after a grenade is wonderful, and Adaptive Munitions laughs in matchgame's face. I've never felt more unkillable as a Void Warlock in PvE

This is the weapon to have this season. I have 2 distinct God Rolls that you should hunt for. The first being Arrowhead Break/Enhanced Battery/Enhanced Adaptive Munitions/Enhanced Killing Tally. That is just an out and out Slay to kill roll. For a Void Warlock, go Enhanced Adaptive Munitions but instead of Killing Tally, go Enhanced Wellspring. Paired with Devour, Nezerac's Sin, Scatter Grenades, Vortex Nova Bomb and Volatile Rounds, it's literally you getting your Grenades back almost instantly.

Well-Rounded/Killing Tally just dropped for me and it seems like it could be a fun add clearing weapon. I’m using Transversive Steps on my Warlock and as long as I stay stocked up on ammo I never have to physically reload, which means that Killing Tally stays up 100% of the time as long as I don’t switch weapons or manually reload.
