TL;DR: I think this weapon excels as a rangy plinker weapon like a better scout rifle, and anything you can do with Voltshot is already covered by a host of alternatives.

We're at the point in D2's life cycle where we have to consider a wide range of weapons and rolls to find where any individual weapon excels. A lot of people are naturally drawn to Voltshot, and rightly so because it's a banger perk, but in order to make the best use of it you'll want to be able to reload very quickly with a weapon's naturally short reload range and with scalars. This is why IKELOS SMG and Brigand's Law are such good choices, because with Feeding Frenzy you can drop the reload to roughly one second to re-proc the effect faster. If you're looking for a longer range Voltshot option, Non-Denouement from Salvation's Edge is an incredibly hot pick because each arrow you nock counts as a reload and makes it function like Trinity Ghoul. Keeping in the same weapon family, Oversoul Edict also gets Voltshot, Insidious has Dragonfly+OFA for less subclass synergy and double damage perks, and to move away from arc damage we also have Nullify with Firefly+Incandescent.

So clearly AoE ad clear is thoroughly covered, can we use Corrasion for anything else? It seems to be a fairly good contender for One For All's incredibly easy +35% damage buff. To round out your PVE weapon rolls you'd want reload speed, so you can pair it with Enlightened Action for general use, Eddy Current if you know you'll be amplified often, or Air Trigger if you're comfortable bunny hopping each time you need a reload.

One of the most important aspects of Corrasion is its accessibility - that it's NOT tied to a raid and it's currently farmable, so if you're looking for a workhorse, rangy weapon for bringing into higher level content and you haven't got many of the premier alternatives, this'll fill a few roles very well. Or hey, maybe you just like the weapon's aesthetics and that has a lot of value to you. The scope has a nice red dot, the weapon shades well, and it looks like a cousin of Vex Mythoclast. All of this season's weapons look great, so grab the pattern and tailor it how you want.

on most weapons it would be, but this thing absolutely tears through its mag anyway so they synergize pretty well in this case. also gives you an excuse to use sweaty confetti instead of backup mag :D

Beastly arc pulse rifle. Heavy burst pulses are the highest damaging primaries in the game and you feel it.

As of right now I've used it for about 5 GM's, absolutely holds its own for several reasons.
Personal roll of choice is as follows:
Arrowhead Brake - Flared Magwell - Enlightened Action - Voltshot
And a reload masterwork of course.

The trick to this weapon is maximising reload speed as much as possible for more VS procs, with enlightened action on this roll it only takes 5 bursts (10 bullets) to get the reload stat to 100 lowering it's reload speed to a tiny 1.2 seconds.

Worth mentioning is with the current artifact this episode including anti-barrier pulse, this thing can stun both barrier AND overload champions thanks to the jolt effect that voltshot applies. Any weapon that can stun multiple champions is worth considering.

Oh and the weapon model is gorgeous and doesn't take up 1/3 of your screen. 5/5.

don't sleep on air trigger on this thing. it's one of the best reload scalars in the game.
combine it with voltshot for a very quick proc after a kill.
also photo finish's rgb effect applies on all of the seasonal weapons :D

Personally, I'm a fan of high-impact reserves + frenzy, at least for more difficult content. With the archetype already doing peerless primary damage at range, this gives you incredibly consistent damage regardless of whether you're mowing down red bars, dealing with champions or hitting anything without a precision hitbox. Note that frenzy can salvage the gun's low handling and reload speed, so you're free to completely invest in range and stability.

High impact reserves + focused fury for harder content
Eddy current + voltshot for getaway artist builds
Enlightened action/air trigger + voltshot for other builds

Solid weapon. 2-burst pulses feel good to use and hit hard. First column perks are mostly irrelevant, but enlightened action and pugilist are both good options. As with most other weapons, voltshot is by far the best option for the second column. Mine has pugilist + voltshot and feels great.

Air Trigger > Enlightened Action. Try it. I gave it a shot and I'm a believer now. Reload is WAY faster than EA. Just do a short bunny hop and you're almost fully reloaded by the time you hit the ground. It's awesome.

If you're on Arc or Prismatic Eddy Current/Voltshot is great. On other elements I'd go Enlightened Action/Voltshot. If you don't want to use Voltshot there's some other great perk combinations available like High-Impact Reserves/Frenzy or Pugalist/Swashbuckler.
