The Palindrome

Draw, O Coward!

Yirix waited. She watched her prey cut slaughter through the EDZ. She watched every weapon and muscle break against their Light. She watched her prey's little Ghost snicker with glee at the death of dozens. Bleak humor to the undying.

They had exercised the same nonchalance as the Almighty bore down to exterminate their parasitic City: Guardians huddled in droves, their eyes trained skyward to watch the destruction of Amtec's vengeance, as if it were some celebratory spectacle.

Yirix and her conclave would not let that revenge be swept aside so easily. They remembered Amtec's words. They remembered the brief hope the Sundial had shown them, and they remembered the name trailed in curses and woe. Although she and her sisters could not hope to destroy a city, they could kill the man who commanded it.

She refocused her eye on the Guardian as it loaded a new cylinder into a crude metal cannon. Her trigger finger twitched in contempt as she looked upon the bodies of the Cabal she had used to lure this Guardian into the open. Yirix had once thought of Human strategies like hidden blades: cowardly and unwilling to engage in anything but guerilla warfare and decapitations of leadership. Watching the Legion disintegrate after Ghaul's death had revealed truer interpretations. Victory cares not for honor, and headless foes cannot resist.

Yirix fired and the Guardian dropped.

"Well placed." The words rippled through her mind as another Psion stepped from concealment behind Yirix. The Psion handed Yirix a new firearm—different from her longbore headhunter. It was lined in silver-colored magnetic rails that hissed with Arc charge. "The carrion Light will reveal itself in time."

"We will wait," Yirix rippled back.

In time, a small Ghost compiled into existence. Yirix waited as the Ghost circled its Guardian. She waited for the Light to build within it. She waited until her target was sure that its actions could lead to nothing but resurrection, and then she fired. The stunned Ghost fell.

Joy filled her mind. "It is effective," she thought.

"Ghaul was no fool," her subordinate rippled in response.

Yirix snorted at the name. "This is not his credit. Ghaul did not invent this technology, but we will learn from his failure."

"Dispose of them. Use its primitive gun. We cannot leave any trace that may lead them back to us."

"It is done," her subordinate thought, acting on Yirix's orders. "We are Amtec's vengeance."

Yirix finished her sister's sentiment. "…and while she struck from the sun, we strike from the shadow."

The Palindrome might have good perks, but don't let this distract you from the fact that whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal in Sol. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Caiatl. From what I can gather she commands the Chosen from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Watcher's Grave. She's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Nessus.

its good but u gotta understand that YOU Took out ghaul. Woke up the traveler. And now half of what i hear in the streets is how much you and your clan are making a difference. And that's why i started this whole clan thing in the first place. People are still waiting for the Vanguard to lead the way. But it's time for a change! And guardians like you are making it happen. No pressure.

Got Full Bore, Ricochet Rounds, Killing Wind, Rampage with a reload masterwork.. This thing feels exactly like Austringer. Has 4 more AA and a tiny bit less range but hey, you can't be greedy.

If you loved Austringer then you'll love this thing. Grind for one, spend hours upon hours to get a god roll. It'll pay off and you'll fall in love with this thing.

In general, this is probably the best 140 hand cannon. It has the best stats overall in regards to other 140s and can roll with good PvE and PvP perks. I’d say that it resembles a energy Austringer, and that is 100% a compliment.

This gun is my favorite primary in crucible and I think it's a decent hand cannon in pve

I would say this gun is pretty good with the right roll. While it does have your average 140 stats the sight and recoil both feel great and it has a pretty good perk pool. Killing wind rampage feels great and I cant wait to farm some more.

I have two of these. One with Killing wind and Thresh, which is great for PVE, but also full bore/ricochet/killing wind/rampage with a range master work for PvP... and I can tell you. It really is as good as it’s hyped up to be.

Full Bore, Armor-Piercing Rounds, KW, Rampage
Range MW

As far as Crucible goes, it's pretty good. Wouldn't mind a QD + Rampage/RF one though.

Gun was ported in properly and feels as solid as it did in D1. Perk selection for a current era hand cannon is actually obscene. Overflow has been testing fantastic, though you can roll Outlaw/Rampage to go a more Midnight Coup route. Curious to see where Pali stands if Bungie nerfs 120 RPMs down the line. Either way, definitely a worthwhile grind.

This weapon quickly became my primary. Does it have have warmind cells? No. Is it in the 120RPM meta? No. But my God if this weapon isn't satisfying to use, paired with one-for-all it's pretty much packing the same punch as a 120 but obviously faster and the reload doesn't take two minutes like them. Haven't tried it in PVP but I have seen it used a decent bit.

Why the fuck is bottomless grief a recommended perk?

Anyways, amazing handcannon and it's pretty hard not to get a decent one. Unless it has bottomless grief ofc.

I got one with fluted barrel/extended mag/outlaw/thresh. Extended mag to hit trash ads at cqc, lower reload from extended mag, but outlaw takes care of that, and thresh/masterwork means you are constantly working to get your super back. I love the handling masterwork for quicker swaps to Witherhoard which is what I run with it. I get my super back really fast and it feels good as well. I don't use it in pvp

So I got my Pali with smallbore, armor piercing rounds, killing wind, and one for all with a range masterwork and let me tell you, it absolutely trashes on light ads. Cannot recommend this gun more, especially since my roll isn't even a god roll. My only complaint is the reload speed if you don't have outlaw, but a single handcannon reloader mod can solver that problem.

Got this gun around 3 weeks ago and it quickly became one of my favorite pvp weapons (not bad in pve either). I got Corkscrew, Flared Magwell, Killing Wind and Rangefinder with a reload masterwork. Would have been happier with High Cal or Armor Piercing and/or range masterwork, since its range isn't the greatest, but it's the only one I've gotten so far. Regardless, I love it.
