Do you want to use wave-frame GLs?
Are you a fan of the most OP Fusion Rifle right now on Destiny (Likely Suspect)?
Do you want to run and gun while recovering health for free?
Are you bored of Recluse 2.0?

Then fear not, the Submission is for you.

Submission is a great weapon, a workhorse which can make quick work of every enemy due to the weapon doing more damage due to being kinetic, it also gives you more freedom to put a good energy special weapon or a bow. And it heals depending on how much of your magazine hit an enemy, yes, it is a tiny chunk, but in certain builds it is enough to negate the damage done to your guardian, for example the Stasis Duskfield Hunter.

On PvP the issue is not having enough perks for PvP probably harmony could work if you do a quick shotgun or sniper kill? Maybe, maybe not. Is good, not amazing for the mode.

EDIT: Encore and Killing Wind makes this weapon a laser on PvP, go and use that. It brings the weapon from a 3 to a 4 stars, and even higher.

So I give this weapon a strong 5 stars for PvE and a light to strong 4 on PvP.

Got one with overflow frenzy and man it feels great. Even without a good roll this gun just feels great to use in pve. Don't really know how it will stack up in pvp compared to multimach though.

Prayed to RNGesus and got enough bordered weapons to craft. IMO, easily the best kinetic SMG in the game atm. does 5% more damage per bullet due to being in the slot. Doesn't have the ability to access volatile rounds, though I'd still use it over recluse 2 electric boogaloo (Funnelweb.) I say this purely because it can be crafted with enhanced perks. Enhanced subsistence gives near infinite mags as long as you don't just spray incessantly and frenzy has a nice duration buff. The one downside to the SMG is a lower base range stat, though with hammer forged and a ranged intrinsic/masterwork brings it to 50-55 or so. I use flared mag to bring the reload stat to 50. This is one of those weapons that looks just okay on paper, though once you have it in your hands, it's glued there. P.S. haven't made a pvp roll, though my pve one slapped for the couple I did use it in so it gets a 3. Inside of pvp, I think the multimach will still beat it out at range.

I have logged into this website for the first time to tell you just how good Submission is. It's the kind of gun you solo flawless Prophecy with. I speak from experience here.

Start by noting the **base 100** recoil direction. That's one of the most insane and rare properties a gun can have. Submission has the best possible recoil profile right out of the box; you don't need to burn its high handling or the mod slot to achieve it. Its behavior is incredibly consistent. Put Smallbore or Corkscrew on it to boost multiple stats instead of trying to shoot for 100 RD like you usually do.

Continue by noting **Souldrinker.** Pretty much every other gun from Vow of the Disciple isn't really taking advantage of this, with their slow bullet output relative to time spent reloading. But Submission absolutely is. It's mowing down enemies, interspersing multiple reloads amidst the destruction that grant healing purely off of hits. This means Submission is uniquely able to be safely aggressive in a way other SMGs and close quarters weapons often can't.

Now, we note Enhanced Perpetual Motion in the third column. Enhanced Perpetual Motion is one of the best economy perks in the game as-is, being that you barely have to do anything to activate it other than play like a smart player by consistently moving. The benefits here are keenly felt. It will keep your shots even more consistent than they already are while boosting your sustained killspeed and weapon swap potential. And it'll retain those buffs through weapon switches, as well. This isn't an uncommon perk in crafting, but it's fantastic for SMGs, and nowhere does it show better than on Submission.

Lastly, we have the rare option of Enhanced Demolitionist to top it all off. Submission isn't just killing stuff for you (though it could do so expertly with Enhanced Frenzy, another high-power choice;) it's generating tons of grenade energy for you amidst its speedy killstreaks, and you can even intersperse a grenade between clips for burst damage purposes. As a Stasis player, you'll enjoy this weapon as an absolute shatter machine in tandem with Whisper of Rending. As a Voidwalker, you'll detonate your foes every few seconds, all the while becoming nearly unkillable due to the combination of Devour and Souldrinker.

Submission isn't just good; it's top of its class for basically any aggressive playstyle. It will breeze through some of Destiny's harder challenges. Craft yours as soon as you can.

This gun powercrept the Rendition.

In PvP, 15 zoom is kinda nice, and Perpetual Motion Killing Wind might be worth a try.

Lightweights do better DPS and have a movement speed increase in exchange for a small range hit and a slightly more difficult to control bullet spray compared to Aggressive. I think (especially with how important movement can be in many areas of the game) that the tradeoff for the Submission is worth it on that alone, but add in the bonus of the origin trait and the Recluse-esque 100 base recoil and it's no longer close.

This thing is like the Ikelos SMG, it doesn't matter if the roll is terrible, it just feels fantastic to use. Literally all you need is Frenzy. That's it.

I'm surprised nobody has pointed out the combo of Sleight of Hand and Harmony, that roll with accurized and a range MW might hold a candle to Recluse in it's prime. The main downside of course being that you can't chain the proc with the gun itself but for quick double/triple kills it should work just fine. You could use it with nice energy exotics too like Cloudstrike or some Telesto cheese for easy procs.

In PvP: When you are titan, pair with fighting lion with peacekeeper to clean up any guardian (quick-swap)
Perks recommend: Perpetual motion and killing wind for more stability and range because peacekeeper can increase your SMG handling to the moon.
barrel and magazine recommend hammer-forged and accurized rounds for more range.

PvE: just overflow and frenzy to extend your magazine and damage.

Amazing smg for pvp. The maxed recoil direction by base allows you to spec completely into range. It has very high aim assistance that lets it snag shots that it shouldn't. It's high zoom also helps it a ton and its reticle is also very nice for lining up shots. Submission also has great pve and pvp rolls that will fit into any way you want to use the gun. You can use it as a weapon to swap to or your main gun. Fantastic gun that is fun to shoot!

This thing for console PvP is absolutely insane. I have never used a better feeling SMG than this. I currently have the gun craftable and my roll is Smallbore + Accurized + Perp Motion + Enhanced Killing Wing. Shreds everything in its path.

Also crazy good PvE rolls are available on this gun as well.

EDIT: There are better PvP options on PC as in Multimach with Iron Reach. I have the roll on console but it just feels like it has way too much recoil to use on console.

I don't usually make reviews for weapons, but I had to for this one. Submission is one of my favorite weapons in Destiny history. It looks amazing, it sounds amazing, and it feels amazing to use.
Its a 900 RPM sub-machine gun which is arguably the best sub-machine gun archetype in the game for PVE. Since it's a kinetic, it also does extra damage to non-shielded combatants. It has some amazing perks in the 4th column, like frenzy for general ad-clear and swashbuckler for melee focused builds. It also has some pretty nutty perks in the 3rd column, like overflow, subsistence, sleight of hand, etc. Did i mention that this thing also has one of the best recoil patterns for a 900 RPM sub-machine gun?
Being craftable, it also has the ability to have enhanced perks and mementos. This thing looks absolutely sexy with the trials memento (even though I don't have it myself)

I love this gun so much, and you will too. Go get one.

Great weapon for PVE and PVP, one of the best imho. Bested by funnelweb with rangefinder.
Overflow Frenzy works great on pvp after you get a kill but can work as well with perpetual motion.

PvE- This SMG is nothing short of a powerhouse. It’s been my go-to ever since I crafted it long ago. Overflow + Frenzy makes for a strong perk combo that can mow through hordes of enemies, especially red bars. Not much more to say other than go craft your own and see just how potent it is.

PvP- The fact that I can take my PvE godroll into PvP and still absolutely dominate speaks volumes as to how competent this weapon’s base stats are. While it’s held back from a 5/5 by the fact that it is lacking a lot of possible perk options to make it stronger in a competitive environment, I once again want to stress that this SMG is still very much a solid option on its own.

i have crafted two, for pvp i use extended barrel with acurized rounds, encore and killing wind. the other is the same barrel and mag but demo and overflow. both sporting range masterworks. in pvp this thing hits at sone range when both encore and killing wind are active, very suprised its not anyones god roll.

pve i just never have to reload

So when I got this shit, I thought it was hot garbage but after bungie whipped their cocks out and proceeded to dickslap shayura's and multimach zoom value, submission said eh, lemme show em I'm capable of asserting dominance in pvp. And it lowkey did. EC + KW + max range is nutty in mah buddy. I did use it a fair bit in pve, not awful, but definitely doesn't ass kick as much as fuckelweb does. A+ PvP, A- PvE.

One of my first drops was Overflow / Frenzy and wow, a 900 RPM SMG with this combo is insane. I love everything about this SMG except the looks, but that can't be helped. It's objectively a really good gun. I'm interested in Turnabout being in column 3, don't think any other gun can get that. Overshields + Frenzy sounds cool.

I have a decent roll for pve and it feels amazing even if its not the best. I also tried this roll in pvp and this might be my bias for 900 rpms in pvp but i love it a lot even for a bad pvp roll. The health on reload is a really nice feature for pvp and pve. Overall a very good weapon that can but in a lot of work in pvp and pve. Also the fact that its kinetic and can be crafted with enhanced perks makes this weapon easily one of if not the best 900 rpm smg.

great in pve, overflow or subsistence with frenzy on a 900 rpm just replaced my same roll on my extraordinary rendition. in pvp, it is really fun to use and is super stable, and can be a very powerful weapon in 6's with things like killing wind and encore together, but in trials, it will just get outpaced and out-ranged by multimach and shayuras

If this thing had Osmosis, it would have been absurdly cracked. Imagine having this as a makeshift Void weapon in the primary slot every time you throw a grenade, along with Overflow or Subsistence, getting Volatile rounds. It would have been insane. But I can live with Accurized/Overflow/Frenzy instead.
