TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

I got this last night with Chain Reaction and Harmony, so not amazing. But I also got the Strand Auto Rifle with Reconstruction and I can tell you this is one of the best perks in the game.
God roll for PVE in my opinion: Augmented Drum (+2 magazine) / Reconstruction / Hatchling or Paracausal Affinity. With augmented drum, Reconstruction will overload your magazine to 14 grenades instead of 10, so it takes an already nutty combo and makes it nuttier. PA triggers off of this weapon or other strand/stasis weapons, so I think it will be a sleeper perk for the right build.
This thing slaps harder than Rhulk.
- Envious Assassin with Harmony provides the benefits of letting your primary/special weapons make this weapon have more ammo and stronger shots, which is unique for Harmony to get such benefits. It's at least useful for smaller burst DPS (even if you and I share the temporary timeframe opinion).
- Reconstruction on it's own allows this GL to have more total shots than any other perk and GL in totality, giving a boring ad clear weapon some fun. Even if Frenzy is your "only good damage perk for bosses", 15% damage is still a big deal. Heck, Paracausal Affinity and Harmony are still good for above-average players who want to kill an ad to charge their weapon.
- Frenzy (even without the best 3rd column perk) still gives you 100 Reload, meaning you get Huge benefits off from Field Prep (where the extra reserves provide more shots or chances to take down enemies, even without the 15% damage).
- Hatchling may not be good here where you WILL need to get rapid kills to proc it, but since players will be using this perk with their Strand subclass, you'll already have "enough threadlings to tear down an orphanage", especially for Warlocks who revolve around having constant threadling uptime. I wouldn't use it since I like precision shots more than rapid kills, but for the first Heavy GL with this, it's fine as is until the future reveals more weapons like it.
Personally, I don't like rapid frame archetypes because it's not my style, but I truly think this has potential to blow away people's feelings for it.... that is, if anyone can get around it's octopus/squid aesthetic, which I do like.
To each their own, I'm not doing this to dig back at your for hating it. I only comment to at least share why some of the perk options are recommended by players. It does opinionate between players, after all.
