Have you ever flinched so hard that you ended up looking up your own anus? If your answer is anything other than a hard NO, you've clearly never run into someone using Crimson.

Crimson is the dorky little brother of Red Death from Destiny 1 and one can expect similar performances in a smaller package. IMO, the intrinsic perk is actually better on Crimson as it fully reloads the magazine on precision kills. Fun to use, but something about it lacks the "oomph" of its big brother. Good in PvE, even better in PvP.

you are 100% right, tho red death grants you an overshield at i think full hp after a kill? i just want red death back so damn bad.... they can change it up to where the overshield only happens in pve... and add a cyt that would cause a red death explotion on headshots or something like that.. but honestly just the healing i would be happy with... come on bungie, i really hate handcannons.

Pretty good in PVE, turns out for those clutch situations. It's counted as a handcannon, so mods might be costly on your gear. PVP? It's decent, great for 1v1 situations if you have some aim down sight speed mods on, wouldn't say it's the greatest though.

if a pulse rifle and a handcannon had a baby it would be crimson. Crimson in PvE can be seriously deadly however in my time playing Destiny it only excels in one build the crimson lucky pants on the hunter therefore for Titans and Warlocks there is very little synergy and for the hunters the Crimson only works in this builds in other builds it just isnt as good However it constitently destroys in the Crucible especially with the perk Cruel remedy it could become some kind of tank based build for your guardian but it works anywhere and will slot in perefctly however it does use an exotic slot therefore its better to run a normal pulse rifle but If you dont have another preffered crucible exotic this would be my Number 1 if I didnt enjoy using NTTE and Telesto!

it works perfectly fine with any build on any character lol you dont need lucky pants. infact ur honestly probably better off not running lucky pants because crimson literally just doesnt need it at all. ur better off running something like dragons shadow or stompees to get you in to crimson range faster and safer. even guns with faster time to kills tend to lose to crimson cause of the flinch. i'd also argue this works better on void titan than hunter since the overshields allow you to outduel a decent amount of weapons and ontop of the flinch ur basically unbeatable if ur using crimsons 90+ range correctly.

This gun was the only thing that allowed me to get Lunas, great gun. With hand cannon targeting mods its a beast in PvP and PvE alike.

awesome handcannon. great damage, great range, and with good aim, you'll never have to reload. handcannons too slow? crimson has got you covered! 3 round burst makes it much quicker to take opponents to their grave, and as an added bonus, it heals on kill! 10/10.

Crimson is fantastic if you can consistently aim it (i.e get all three shots in a burst to hit). Unfortunately, unless you're using a controller and that super-sticky aim assist that comes with, doing so is difficult. If you're good with pulse rifles, even ones that kick like mules, you can use this. If you can't, reconsider your kinetic exotic weapon choice.

It handles like a hand cannon and fires like a pulse rifle. With great accuracy, range and handling Crimson is a beast in PvP. The perk is quite beneficial but depends heavily on your class.

A really fun weapon this gun shreads with lucky pants with the touch of it healing and being burst it shoots like a pulse and feels like a really unique weapon the healing is nice on any sorts of hunter build since they usually lack healing

PC player

In PvE it's not bad. Health and ammo refills are great. Not quite as easy as Huckleberry, but has more range to make up for it.

In PvP this thing is a monster. Great range, and makes winning 1v2s way too easy with good aim. Put on double HC targeting mods for extra fun.

Recoil is very low, making this gun easy to use like a 180 HC, but with more damage.

Fun to use. Allows for taking on multiple guardians in PvP provided you get the first kill. Crispy at a great range.

"and so I said, 'reloading is gay', and then missed every headshot and died anyway"
Despite missing a damage perk, the Crimson's still *decent* for add clear thanks to its autoreload on precision kills, and its ability to heal you on any kill.
More PvP oriented, though you do need to land your headshots, and this gun fires in bursts. There are simply better options.
Fun as heck though.

For me, I really dig this hand cannon. It has an excellent TTK. It is deadly and is hyper accurate in getting precision kills. To that end, you get orbs on multi-kills and it heals you on EVERY kill! Then to top that it off, every precision kill will reload the gun instantly. The cycle for those that are on the receiving end of this hand cannon is just vicious. Bring in a MW Crimson and you will truly appreciate what this gun can do.

Great in PvE if you have targets that you can land easy precision kills on. Quite good in PvP and especially if you have the masterwork and you hit headshots, but if you can't its still fun to use and reliable.

Love it! Always a fan of heavy hitting handcannons, this thing gives healing and combines the Red Death with Warden's Law. Only downsight is the absence of something to keep the shots going on 1 target for the biggest dmg using Lucky Pants e.g. 4th times the charm.

HEALING:
As I found a few different opinions of what and how the healing works I tested it and its basically a direct 10hp heal AND Cure as the healthregen starts with the kill. BUT you still get a small chunk of HP back immediatly.

This thing destroys in pvp and as a console player it isn’t very hard to aim with and has decent range and the ability to two burst someone and get healed after the kill and potentially reload your gun if you get a precision final blow is 10/10 in pvp.

God, it’s so fucking good and I hate it for that. The amount of times I’ve nearly had a breakdown because of some jackass repeatedly killing me with this thing is matched by none. It’s a Crucible classic for a reason.

This thing claps in pvp and in pve
I decided to use this weapon today and I did a nightfall with the weapon, i got 228 kills. Played a round of clash, i got a nice 25kills considering the fact that I have very little experience with the weapon
