TIP: New Season & Popularity Ranks
It's a new season! Popularity ranks can change rapidly at the start of a new season, especially on new weapons.
Be careful jumping to conclusions for a week or so as the meta starts to shake out.
TIP: Popularity Ranks
The letters F thru S below are Popularity Ranks. They measure how popular your roll is versus the most popular roll for this weapon among the global community. The most popular roll is ranked S+. The least popular is ranked F-. Popular doesn't necessarily mean "good"; unpopular doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Use what you enjoy!

„Bitte lass mich in Ruhe.“
Ausgestoßene.“ Beim letzten Titel muss Shayura blinzeln.
„Was willst du, Ausgestoßene Faora?“
„Freundschaft.“
The direct equivalent to this glaive is Nezarec’s Whisper. For those that have NW already crafted, that’s the superior option to go for in my opinion. But for those that don’t have it crafted, it is more reliable and consistent to grind this out instead of waiting for RNG to give you those red borders.
Stats-wise, this glaive is a beast compared to NW: 10 more in Range, 8 more shield duration, 19 more handling, 30 more reload speed, 19 more aim assistance, and 3 more airborne effectiveness. Adding a haft, a magazine, and a masterwork only increases the effectiveness of Unexpected Resurgence.
And then we get to the fact that this is an Adept weapon. For those unaware, more Range increases the projectile velocity for a glaive. While something like Adept Big Ones is usually my go-to for Adept weapons, I can do nothing but recommend Adept Range for this to increase its consistency.
Let’s move on to perks. All of my recommendations are for PVE, simply cause that’s where glaives are most effective. The first perk column is, in my opinion, stacked with six good perks out of eight. The two perks that are not up to snuff are Shot Swap and Tilt with Windmills. Neither of these are good on a glaive, and go against the somewhat aggressive play style that these weapons require. The top three most desirable perks to chase in this column are Impulse Amplifier, Subsistence, and Thresh.
Now the fourth column. Voltshot is, unfortunately, not a desirable perk. That’s a perk better suited towards primary weapons that you can just re-doing without worrying about losing ammo. Other than that, it’s your pick of the litter. If you’ve got a Synthoceps glaive build, Close to Melee, Surrounded, and Swashbuckler are great. If you want a glaive for whenever Unstoppable Glaives are a thing again, Vorpal Weapon is good. My personal favorite is Unstoppable Force, simply cause it plays into a core aspect of glaives.
All-in-all, if you really really want an Adept arc glaive, go into Trials and go for it. Even the normal version of this is worth getting just to try. If you’re like most players and couldn’t care less about glaives, don’t waste your time. You’re better off waiting for The Messenger or The Immortal to be the Adept weapons for Trials weekend.
It's a strand/void surge GM. Nobody on your team is running arc. You go strand suspend titan. Your team gets one shot and you just walk up to their dead bodies holding block and save everyone with 0 sweat. See a champ? Oh you can suspend them AND jolt them! You can apply jolt to the bosses too! Jolt also stuns overloads!
Yeah voltshot on a glaive doesn't sound great at first, but think about how this weapon allows you two great utilities in one. I would only ever use this on a non-arc subclass just so I can get access to jolt and tanking damage. I think this is an extremely good pairing on strand titan specifically. Glaive shields give like 97.5% damage resist in PVE from what I was googling. Very underrated GM weapon. Can save runs and increase boss DPS all in one.
My picks for god roll: Low-impedence windings, light mag, impulse amplifier, volt shot, alcaricity.
I don't really care about range or projectile speed. I care about blocking damage and applying jolt. Alcaricity is the cherry on top as glaives are great for saving GM runs and reviving teammates via blocking damage.
Perkwise, Voltshot is NOT worth it. The damage from Voltshot's Jolt is the same across every archtype. It's great on rapid-fire, quick reload weapons like Brigand's Law and IKELOS SMG, but Glaives are slow to fire and slower to reload. Instead, choose ANY of the other damage perks in the fourth column. They're all useful. For the third column, Impulse Amplifier, Replenishing Aegis, Subsistence, ALH and Feeding Frenzy are fine.
TL/DR: Best in class, but the bar was low.
